Kion didn't believe what he was hearing. "You mean that I will actually see the little one, I just can't believe it." he started tearing up. The Night Pride helped Rani back into the Tree of Life. Once they did that everyone left, except for Nirmala. She stayed behind, helping Rani giving birth.
It was late at night, and Rani and Nirmala were still inside the tree, with everyone waiting around it. "This is taking so long." Kion said, annoyed and tired from all the waiting. Suddenly Nirmala walked out of the Tree of Life. "You can come in now Kion." Kion followed Nirmala into the Tree of Life. "Congratulations, you've got two healthy sons." she told him. Kion looked Nirmala in the eyes. "Did you just say two? Are you saying Rani gave birth to twins? Is that why it took so long?" Kion asked, to which Nirmala nodded, confirming that Kion was right.
Kion now looked at Rani, holding two cubs in her paws. Kion nuzzled Rani. "They are beautiful." he said. One of the cubs was had brown fur like Rani, while the other one had yellow fur, a bit brighter than Kion. "The brown one is a girl, and the yellow one is a boy." Rani told Kion, as he took the brown one from Rani and let her rest in his paws. "How should we name them?" Kion asked Rani. Rani looked at Kion, she had a big smile on her face. "I always thought that if I would get a boy, I would like to name him Cheka." Rani said. "That is because seeing him laugh will always make me happy." Kion liked the name. "Do you have an idea for the girl's name?" Rani asked Kion. She wanted him to name the girl, since she already named the boy. "I think Uon would fit her really well." Kion said. Inside of Rani her paws Cheka turned around, now facing Kion, as he opened his eyes. Kion got a tear in his eye as he watched his just born son.
After a while the rest of the Night Pride entered the tree. Bunga stood next to Kion. He looked at the cubs, and then he poked Kion. "Twins, huh." he said. "Yeah, Rani is now holding the boy, named Cheka." Kion then signalled to the cub he was holding. "And this is our girl, called Uon." he continued.
The two lions rested for the rest of the day, holding the cubs. After a while Kion started crying. "Is there anything wrong, Kion?" Rani asked. "I don't want to go." Kion said. "This has been the most beautiful day of my life, but I can't fully enjoy it, because of everything that led up to it." Rani got closer to Kion. "We've talked about this before. We can help you. All you have to do is trust us, and trust in yourself. I know you can do that Kion, you've shown that to me before." "That was different." Kion started arguing. "Last time I didn't have any trouble with my scar. That was me. This isn't me. I just can't stop it." Rani got closer to Kion. "We've talked about this before. We can help you. All you have to do is trust us, and trust in yourself. I know you can do that Kion, you've shown that to me before." "That was different." Kion started arguing. "Last time I didn't have any trouble with my scar. That was me. This isn't me. I just can't stop it." Rani got even closer now, so she could nuzzle him. It calmed Kion down a bit. It made him feel more relaxed. After a few minutes he started talking again. "I think you might be right Rani. This is the calmest I've felt in days." Rani got a smile on her face after hearing this. "Does that mean you will stay?" she asked. "Yeah, I'll stay, but I'm not ready to get back to being king."
