⚠️- Drug Use/Abuse

(Colby)

School was the usual, a boring and slow paced drag. I sat with my friends Corey, Jake, and Elton at lunch talking about the dumb drama around the school.

As I was at my locker, exchanging books, arms wrapped around my body from behind causing me to lightly smile. "Hey, baby." The voice whispered in my ear.

I turned around to face my boyfriend, looking up at him due to him being an inch or so taller. "Hey, Bren." I said, getting on my tippy toes to kiss him.

After the kiss, we walked down the halls hand in hand. I wasn't what you would call popular, I wasn't a loser either- more neutral I guess you could call it. Brennen, on the other hand, was pretty popular. He played football, but not at the moment due to the season being over.

The halls became empty, and everyone was in their class. He always insisted on talking before class even though I told him I didn't want to be late.

"Okay, I have to go to class." I said, smiling a little. I went to walk towards my class, but his tight grip said otherwise.

"Well, I want to talk to you. We have a minute." He huffed, his grip on my wrist was tight and hurt. I didn't complain though, he doesn't like it when I complain.

"O-Okay." I only stuttered when I was scared, and he knew that. He seemed to bathe in my fear.

"Come on, we're gonna cut class for the rest of the day." He pulled me down the hall way and out of the school. When we got to the parking lot, I saw a blonde haired bad boy leaning against his motorcycle smoking a cigarette. How do they not have cameras out here?

Brennen must not have seen him, because he slammed me against the side of his car. "What's your problem today? You wouldn't talk to me before class, why?" He snapped.

"B-Bren, I just d-didn't want to be late. I'd l-love to talk to you." I tried not to whimper, but I did.

"Ha, yeah okay." His grip around my wrist tightened." He looked to the left towards the small line of trees, then looked back at me raising his hand. I wanted to close my eyes to flinch, but I wasn't fast enough. His hand came down across my face with a loud smack off my cheek.

My eyes filled with tears and I looked at him holding my cheek. His hand flew up, wrapping around my throat. He squeezed it tightly though still allowing me to breath, my face was warm and tear covered.

"I-" Brennen's sentence stopped when he looked at something behind me. He must've saw that guy, Sam? I don't remember his name, he was well known but not for good reasons.

His hand left my throat, and he glared at me. "Let's go. Get in the car." I cowered away, and walked it the passenger side. The blonde boys gaze followed me with no expression or emotion.

Sitting in Brennen's car as he drove down the road, one hand left the wheel and tightly gripped my thigh. It hurt, but I was too scared to say anything.

"I love you, Colby." He said, almost commanding.

We were on the highway now, just driving. Not having a particular destination. I didn't say I loved him back, and I just felt his anger rise.

His grip on my thigh tightened, and he slammed his foot on the gas pedal. I started shaking, having an irrational fear of car accidents.  The speedometer shot up, once at 75-80, it was now pausing 110.
