It's hard you know? Being told to you have three months to live before cancer consumes your body and takes your entire life away. My roommates know, we try to ignore it and make the best of every single day. But you know, when the pounding headaches come and the tumor in my head decides it wants to bring me pain it's hard.

I was currently eating breakfast with the roommates, my best friend silently eating next to me, I looked at him and decided to be spontaneous. "Hey, Colby?"

He looked up from his bowl of cereal, "Yeah?" He smiled. News flash, I'm in love with him.

"Let's go to the pier, just us." I said, smiling.

He smiled back, and laughed a little. "Alright, lets get ready." He said. I nodded and we both went to get ready.

We got into his car and began driving. "So, what made this idea come to life?" Colby asked me.

"I wanna spend time together, as much as I don't have left I figured I better use it the best I can, right?" I said, he smiled tightly and went back to the road.

When we got to the pier, it was hot and sort of packed. We rode the rollercoaster, the Ferris Wheel, we age a bunch of food, we watched the ocean, we walked on the beach. I grabbed his hand lacing our fingers, he look down at them surprised then back up at me. "Come on." I said pulling him to the water.

We walked into where just our feet were in, rolling up our pants before doing so. I expected him to let go of my hand, but he didn't. You wouldn't find me complaining though.

"Sam.." Colby said, looking out at the water, then he turned to face me and I did the same to him. "We're going to do this- or something like this- every single day. We're going to make the most out of it all, let's go rollerblading tomorrow, and blow money on shopping at random places. Let's just go crazy." He said, his grip on my hand tightening with his excitement.

Instead of answering, I grabbed his cheeks and pulled him down into a kiss. I didn't know what he'd do, I was scared for his reaction. He pulled my closer by wrapping his arms around my waist, and I wrapped my arms around his shoulders. Once we pulled away we both smiled, "We'll make the very most of it."

Eating downstairs again, the roommates were fairly quiet. "Guys wanna go rollerblading with us?" I asked them. Everyone agreed and we all piled in our cars to leave.

We all got there, and skated around happily. We played arcade games, ate food and skated more. I skated up to Colby and grabbed his hand in mine. He looked at me and smiled, "I love you." He said, causing me to pull him of the skating floor and kiss him where we stood.

I knew the roommates looked in surprise, and a few other people looked as they did whatever they were doing. "Whoo!!" I heard Corey and Elton whoop and holler at us as they skated by.

"I love you, too." I said, kissing him once more and began skating with everyone again.

We all went home, Devyn and Corey went out on a date, Elton was doing something with Amanda or Heath, Aaron went out with someone, and Colby stayed with me.

As we sat on the couch, eating a whole shitload of snacks, I cuddled into his side. He wrapped his arms around me, and kissed my head. He got up, putting the snacks away and laid down pulling me on top of him.
