I think my last chapter was pretty decent.
Any thoughts? Who enjoys My Carmen + Percy dynamics? I know I do.
Also, I'm sorry but I love my puns man. I love 'em.
On to the story.
Ciao - Internet Head.

ΩCarmenΩ
It was a rough time in the death maze.
It had been weeks, months even, since we last saw the camp.
You must be confused. Sorry, I'm not good at explaining things.
Percy and I were stuck in a maze with large stone walls and no sun nor moon that we could see.
Percy, being understandably confused about our situation, asked me "What in the Hades is happening!?"
I took the time to explain that the maze was an intricate tapestry woven in the mist by a Sorceress.
Of course he was confused on that too.
I explained to him that there was a sorceress that was part of one of the Rouge Demigod syndicates and she was extremely skilled when it came to manipulating the mist.
She was so good in fact that she was considered highly dangerous and was revered as one of the most Powerful demigods brought up in this day and age by the Rouges.
This sorceress, Ruby, would create spells out of the mist and encapsulate them in scrolls or other such objects. She would then sell them for large amounts of money to the anybody who offered it.
I told Percy that the maze was her most dangerous spell, a spell that was considered too dangerous to be used.
She called it her Web Labyrinth and it was impossible to escape.
The Web Labyrinth was so elaborate that the science behind it was complete speculation. Nobody, not even Ruby, knew how to recreate it.
I knew from my research on her that the spell created a pseudo world where age and time meant nothing, within that world you could not die through natural causes.
The world was almost like a mini-world within the world that already existed, like a pocket dimension.
If, by some miracle, you managed to escape the Web Labyrinth you would find that time outside of the maze hadn't passed.
This phenomenon is how Percy and I found ourselves camping out in the maze for months.

Percy started longingly into the fire we'd made as we lounged under our mostly moss tent "how did Dave even get his hands on something like that?" He asked, bringing up our reoccurring discussion on the Web Labyrinth.
I tended to the fire, moving around the ashes with a stick "Ruby will sell to anybody she really wants to. Dave must have offered her something she couldn't refuse..."
My companion nodded as he tried not to focus on how hungry he was. We'd been living off of moss and small animals we'd found for the entire time we'd been here.
The food supplies we'd brought were with the girls.
"I-I'm sorry Perc, I should have done something." I told him, looking down at the floor and working my jaw, ashamed.
Percy furrowed his brow "like what? None of us could have stopped this."
I nodded slowly "I know but still..."
Percy turned away and laid down on his cot "enough of that. We need to get some rest, we'll have to keep walking in the morning."
I sighed and flopped down on my own cot "goodnight then, Percy."
"Goodnight, Carmen."

Percy shook me awake when the dark misty sky was light enough for us to see, contrary to the "night" when it was pitch black.
We quickly gathered our meager supplies and were back to wandering the large maze in record time.
I trailed behind Percy, trying to think of ways to possibly get us out of this mess.
He suddenly yelled out "it's one of those things!" And I watched Riptide spring to life in his hand.
The "things" he was talking about were these ghoulish skeleton things that seemed to populate the maze.
They wore furs and dark metal armor as well as leather with a sickly yellow light keeping their bones together.
They were spry and dangerous and smart, deadly foes for us.
It was unfortunate that they were where we got most of our supplies.
The skeleton thing lurched at Percy, swinging it's jagged iron blade
Percy sidestepped and ripped into its back with his sword, making it stumbled towards me.
I quickly knocked it's blade out of its hands and then reared back my fist.
The skeleton gurgled and stumbled forward.
I smashed my fist into its skull, shattering it and forcing its body to crack and crumble.
I wrenched my fist from the remains of its skull and watched it turn to dust.
Percy jogged over to me "that was awesome. That new arm is no joke." He said with a smile.
I flexed my metal hand, watching the bone fragments stuck to my palm be crushed into powder "it took some getting used to but now it's really coming in handy."
I waved my metal hand in his face "geddit, handy."
Percy sighed in disgust and pushed my hand away "come on, dude. We talked about those puns..." he started to keep on walking and so I followed him, striking up a conversation on puns.
Percy had previously told me we looked like scavengers with our new gear.
He wore a fur coat over his hoodie had metal gauntlets and bracers, as well as a steel shoulder pad so I could see where he was coming from.
I, on the other hand, looking like the king of thieves.
My jacket had been replaced with one exactly the same only made from brown fur  and I'd traded my jeans for leather chausses because they were easier to move in.
My arm was clad in a rawhide metal and leather gauntlet while my already metal arm simply had some fur and leather strapped to it, just for aesthetic.
We both kept our leftover clothes in a bag so we could put them back on once we'd escaped.
Percy and I trotted along until we reached a small pond in the labyrinth at which we stopped to bathe.
After that we kept going, only running into ghouls a couple more times.
Eventually we came to a fork in the road which wasn't that uncommon for a maze.
What was uncommon was the fact that they were both stairs leading up in opposite directions.
Percy turned to me "this is different."
I nodded "your telling me. This maze is weird, it has ponds and forests and lava but it's never once had stairs."
Percy got out Riptide "flip a coin for which side? Heads is right Tails is left?"
I took out a quarter I'd had in my back pocket "that's fair. Three... two... one..."
I flipped the coin and watched it land on heads.
"Called it." I said, picking up my coin.
Percy scowled "no you did not." He turned to the right set of stairs and started up the first steps.
"Ya-huh, in my head." I retorted, following him.
He shook his head "no- whatever. I think it's time you use that thing you've been saving, this looks like it could be dangerous." Percy said, giving me a serious look.
I nodded and removed the sword from my belt tied around my waist.
The sword was made from rubies and the bones of dragon-like things we'd seen in the maze. It was made out of a variety of gems besides rubies though they were the most.
The handle was wood and bone, fused together by my flames, and the blade was almost like a deformed cutlass, the bone making up most of the edge and curve while the rubies and emeralds held it together with structure.
It was a blade Percy and I had crafted for me in replacement of my stolen one.
It looked like no sword either of us had ever seen as it wasn't made of the demigod world.
It worked just fine on the monsters in the maze however.
We didn't know if it's makeshift blade and handle would last under long usage, so Percy had advised me to use it sparingly.
Now was an important time for me to be able to properly defend myself so I brought it out.
I nodded to Percy "let's go, Perc. We've got this."
