Lavender was a small town, so it was no suprise how we found out that some other people's Pokemon had gone missing too. Even Mr Fuji, a man who cared for orphaned Pokemon, seemed to have been kidnapped.

The town was pretty shaken up by the incident. My master was highly upset, & people were worried. "I saw a man wearing black clothing run up to Pokemon Tower this morning, around 3 in the morning," an elderly lady croaked. However, none of the residents wanted to go to Pokemon Tower.

Lavender Town had hundreds of stories of ghosts, & everyone believed them to be true. Lavender Town had many ghosts, but one of the worst was the ghost of Pokemon Tower. It is said that a very angry ghost that has been haunting the tower for years rests at the very top.

"I'll go," a guy around the age of 18 spoke up. I didn't recognize him at all. "Me too," I found myself speaking up. The town looked at us with eyes full of expectations. Could I find the thief & help them?

I thought it was smart of the thief to hide out in Pokemon Tower, because he obviously knew that no one in their right mind would follow him. Given that I was out my right mind myself, I volunteered to go along with this boy, who must have been bat shit crazy.

We entered the tower as soon as we could. At daytime, it didn't seem all that scary. The guy released a Nidorino. "You should release a Pokemon, for protection," he suggested. I listened to him & let out Cinder.

I was about to let out Venus but when I remembered how awfully smart & explorative he was, I realised it wasn't a very good idea to have him roaming around touching everything & he would try to lead the way, as he usually did.

The trot up the tower was quiet, the trainer & I didn't speak much, & as we got to the higher floors, a feeling in my gut made me uneasy. Cinder looked uneasy too. She shifted her eyes around, & often cowered behind me.

The trainers' Nidorino looked a little tougher, but even then he looked a little concerned. Suddenly, a loud noise rang through my ears & Cinder jumped back, running away. "Cinder!" I ran after my Vulpix, I couldn't let her run off in this place, who knows what would happen. The trainer called out to me but I didn't care, I needed to get to Cinder.

I ran & ran & finally found her cowering beneath a grave. "Cinder..." I frowned & suddenly the hairs on my back stood up. There was something behind me. I slowly turned & saw a dark figure. I screamed & yelped, terrified. Vulpix screamed too.

I picked her up & we ran & ran until we reached a dead end. The shadow was around, I knew it was. I could feel the dread in the pit of my stomach at not knowing where it was, or what it would do if it found me.

Then, I saw it. Slowly approaching. Just a shadow, distorted, horrifying. I threw a stick at it. It had no effect. In fact the stick went through it. I commanded Vulpix to attack it but she stood there, frozen in fear.

I bit my lip, & then it occured to me that I had a Pokemon who would battle anything no matter what is was. Even if he knew he couldn't win. My stubborn & cocky Charcoal. I reached for a Pokeball as quickly as I could & threw it. To my suprise, it hit the shadowy figure & it went into the Pokeball. I could have sworn I took out Charcoal's Pokeball? But I was enveloped by so much fear I guessed I grabbed the empty one.

The Pokeball stopped shaking & I guessed I had caught the ghost. I caught the ghost of Trainer Tower? I felt a little heroic, & then realised that I still had a mission to do.

I also realised I was on the top floor already. I was confused. When did I get here? I felt like time had passed by so fast.

I walked around quietly, with Cinder by my side, & sure enough we heard the thief, talking over the phone. "I got us some Pokemon from Lavender Town as a test run. Yes, the Pokeballs are working nicely, they even work on trainer's Pokemon! We are getting very close to our goal," the guy muttered. I imagined that he'd be grinning.

Beside him I saw Mr. Fuji, tied up & gagged. Using only my fingers, I commanded Vulpix to attack. She ran up to the man & bit his arm. He shrieked in pain. I looked at his face, & noticed he was the same man who had stolen fossils from Pewter City's museum! "You!" he growled at me. "You just try to ruin everything don't you? Not this time!" He pulled out a Pokeball & a familar Golduck appeared, looking stronger than ever.

I called Cinder to my side. I instructed for her to grab the bag full of Pokeballs he had & to release Mr. Fuji while I distracted them in a battle. I pulled out Venus' Pokeball, because he had a type advantage. "Go, Venus!" I released him & he looked around curiously. Then he locked eyes on Golduck & muttered angrily,"Bulba..." I suppose this meant he was ready for battle, & he wasn't going to lose this time.

"Golduck, use Water Pulse!" "Dodge it!" Venus couldn't dodge. He wasn't fast enough. Luckily Water Pulse didn't do much damage. He shook himself dry, then used a move I'm certain he didn't know before. Poison Powder? Golduck quickly dodged it & then he used another move similar to Poison Powder, but it was Sleep Powder. Golduck didn't manage to dodge this move very well. His movements became slow, & sluggish.

"Confusion, Golduck!" Golduck's eyes glowed & then Venus was floating in the air. He then yawned & Venus was let back down on the ground unharmed. Thank you Sleep Powder. Golduck drifted off to sleep & the man retreated him.

"No matter, I can catch your Pokemon too," he reached for his bag, but it wasn't there, Cinder had it. She appeared next to me & handed it to me. Mr. Fuji was behind me thanking me & smiling. "Great job girl!" I praised her. "& you too, Venus. Your battle was great!" I looked up to see the man running at me angrily.

He knocked me down & punched me, busting my nose. He was gonna punch again, but something pryed him off & lifted him up. It was Venus.

I didn't have time to thank him because the trainer who came into the tower with me appeared. "There you are! You got the guy," he said, suprised. "Oh no... Your nose..." he trailed off. "I'm fine. Let's just get out of here..."

We got out of that tower as quickly as we could. The thief unwillingly walked out of the tower with us, because Nidorino, Cinder, & Venus were making sure he didn't escape.

The authorities met us outside & they congradulated & thanked us. As did Mr Fuji. He told the entire town of my heroic actions & everyone, especially my parents, were proud of me. "She did all the work... I didn't help much..." the trainer admit sheepishly. "Not true. He was a big help," I smiled.

The cop & I exchanged numbers so he could call me & tell me what they found out about this strange man. The Pokemon were all given back to their owners. My master was very happy & greatful, in fact he was so pleased with what I did, that he eased up with my parents. He fed them well, & just was much nicer to them, which made me happy.

After dinner I told my parents about what happened, & how I caught the ghost. I didn't tell anyone else about the story. I was scared to release it but I knew I had to do it eventually. So with my parents, & Charcoal watching, (because he was the only one who wasn't too afraid & volunteered) I threw the Pokeball in the air nervously, & ghost revealed itself.
