This week was exam week for all the students of hogwarts and I was very exited because my dad let my watch the students go through an obstacle course that had a part dedicated to each thing or creature that they had learnt about this year.First they had to wade across a deep paddling pool with a grindilow inside,then cross a series of potholes full of Red Caps,squish their way across a patch of marsh while ignoring the misleading directions from a Hinkypunk and finally climb into a trunk and battle with a Boggart.

Today it was Thursday morning and the third years were taking there exam.

"Great job harry" Dad told harry as he came out of the trunk after doing really well on the course"full marks"

Harry walked over to a desk that I was sat on and say next to me so he could watch Ron and Hermione go through the obstacle course.Ron was doing great until he got to the hinkypunk which confused him into sinking waist-high into the quagmire.Hermione did everything perfectly until she reached the boggart,after around a minute inside she burst out again screaming and crying.

"Hermione!"said dad a little shocked"What's the matter?"

"P-professor McGonagall,S-she said I'd failed everything!"

Harry and Ron sniggered under their breaths and I scowled at them and went over and comforted her as she cried into my shoulder.

"It's alright 'mionie it's not real,I was watching you on the rest of the course and you were amazing,I bet you did the best on all your other exams too you're really smart"

It took a little while but she eventually lifted her head and smiled at me.They had a free period so I walked up to the castle with them but we stopped Infront of the stairs where Cornelius Fudge was stood sweating slightly and staring out at the grounds.As soon as he saw harry he walked over to us.

"Hello there,Harry,just had an exam I expect?"

"Yes" Harry replied a little annoyed.Me Hermione and Ron not being on speaking terms with the minister of magic just stood there akwardly.

"Lovely day,pity...pity...."

He looked over at harry and sighed.

"I'm here on an unpleasant mission.The committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures required a witness to the execution of a mad Hippogriff"

"Does that mean the appeal has already happened?"Ron interrupted and I had no idea what they were talking about.

"No,no it's scheduled for this afternoon"

"Then the Hippogriff might get off"

Before fudhe could answer two wizards came through the castle doors behind him and one was carrying a large,shiny axe.We headed back towards the castle and they all looked really annoyed.

"Hey guys what was going on back there?"

"Oh in our first care of magical creature lesson we were learning about Hippogriffs and malfoy was trying to show off by insulting one called buckbeak,the Hippogriff attacked him but only left a really small scratch on his arm"

Oh that explains the bandages and sling that he has been wearing.

"His dad got super mad about it and took it to the ministry and because lucius malfoy is so close with the ministry he is winning the trial and trying to get buckbeak killed"

"What that's awful,I bet hagrid is really upset about it he loves those creatures"

"He is that's why we have been trying to research things to try and help him win the case"
