New friendships

I woke up the next morning because dad was shouting at me to wake up

"Come on ave get up I have a class coming soon and I need to set my classroom!"

"Alright I'm up "

I had heard the night before what the students were saying about the professors and a lot of students were saying bad things about snape so I was exited to see how he really was for myself because he didn't seem so bad at the feast.I got up and got up and decided to wear a green shirt with black jeans then rushed down the stairs into dad's classroom where he was looking through papers on his desk.

"Ah your finally ready, are you off to see snape?"

"Yeah I'll be back after your first lesson ends"

"Ok baby, I'll see you when you get back then, have fun!"

"I will good luck in your first day!"

"Thank you cub" He gave me a quick hug and gently pushed me out if the door as his class was coming.

After getting lost a couple of times I finally made my way to the dungeons with the help of a ghost called sir Nicholas,it was really dark and cold down there and I regretted not bringing a jacket. I found the potions classroom and knocked on the door

"Come in"

I walked and closed the door and slowly walked to his desk while also looking around the room.there were lots of desks lined up in rows and shelves everywhere that were filled to the brim with books and glass bottles with potion Ingrediants inside.

"Ah Ava I was wondering when you would turn up"

"Sorry I'm not really a morning person"

"It's alright"

He came over and picked me up and put my on one of the desks.

"Now ava have you ever made a potion before"

"I haven't but I have read a lot of books about them"

"Oh I guess that will do for now anyways, you are going to help me make a potion called wolfsbane for you and your dad"

I had read about the potion before in one of my dad's books but when I asked him about it he told me that it was a lot of money and extremely hard to make so we couldn't get it, so when he said that it made me so exited.

"Really, I've always wanted to use that!"

"Well we better get to making it then"

He took me of the desk and put a couldren where I was sat then went to another room and came out with a bunch of different Ingrediants to make the potion.I pulled out a chair next to the desk and stood on it so that I could see everthying. He put all the ingredients in and occasionally let me do the sampler thing like cutting and stirring.Right in the middle of making the potion my phone went off and snape looked around with a look of confusion while I took the phone out of my pocket.

"Ava what is that?"

I looked up from responding to a text from my dad making sure that I was ok.

"What oh this a mobile phone, it's like sending an owl to someone but you don't need to use an ink and quill to write it you just tap the letters and you don't have to send to with on owl you just press the button with an arrow on it and then the person you want to talk to can see it"

"Fasinating, am I right in saying that that is a Muggle product?"

"Yeah it is,it's great.Ill turn it on silent so that it doesn't interupt us again"

I put the phone back into my pocket and we carried one with the potion while he explained some wizarding things to me that I haddnt heard of before and I explained some Muggle things to him until the potion was finally finished. I got down from the chair and snape put the potion into the vials and put the vials in box then handed it to me.

"Now you can bring these up to your dad for me because I would rather not see him"

"Why not?"

"Oh we do not really get along ava"

"Why are you being nice to me then? People tell me that I am a lot like him"

"Because ava, I knew your mother back in our school days and we were really close, best friends even until...."

He looked down and a sad expression made its way onto his face which went unknown by Ava as she was searching for something in her pocket and when she finally found it she took it out of her pocket and unfolded it, it was an old picture of her mom with one of her friends that she took everywhere with her.

"I finally know now, this is you!"

He looked up to see what she was talking about and saw the picture. It was of him and rose back in their fith year at Hogwarts, they were laughing with eachother.

"Yes that is me, I remember this day as if it was yesterday"

"You can keep it if you want"

"No I couldn't.... You keep it.."

"Please I don't need it anymore I have more pictures of her I have just carried it with incase I ever saw the other person in the picture.

"Thank you Ava this means a lot to me , I'll keep it on my desk"

"No problem,oh and there is a note on the back"

Snape took the picture and turned it over and read the note.

To my dearest Ava
This is me and your uncle severus.He was my best friend at Hogwarts,we were so close that we were like brother and sister.when me and your father had you I convinced him to name Severus your godfather.so if you ever find him show him this note as he doesn't know he is your godfather.

He looked up at me with a single tear falling down his face.I ran up to him and gave him a hug,he stiffened at first but returned it.we pulled apart and I left the room and went back up to dad's classroom.

When I got there I waited for all the students the room and I went in up to dad's desk with a huge smile on face.

"Hey Ava what have you got there"

"It's wolfsbane!for you and me,proffesor Snape helped me make it"

"That's brilliant cub"

He ruffled my hair and took the viles from me and put in our room and told me in there and read some books while he taught the students.
