The next day I found out the Ron and Hermione were no longer friends because of their pets which I thought was rediculous but I was on Hermione's side because I don't think that crookshanks has eaten scabbers but I haven't told them that.It was a Saturday today so I spent the day with Ron and harry because Hermione always has someone's homework to do,I couldn't believe how many lesson she was taking there was three all at one time and Ron agreed with me but whenever we asked her about it she would just change the subject.we were walking up the stairs from messing around on the grounds and even me helping them with parts of their homework,they really need to start using books more often.when we on the stairs we saw a crowd of people on the stairs.

"What's happening?" I tried to jump up and see above the crowd but I was still too small.

"Maybe Neville's forgot the password again"

"Hey!"

"Oh sorry Neville"

Just then we can see ginny pushing through the crowd towards us.

"It's the fat lady she's gone!"

That shocked all of us.the crowd moved as Percy pushed through them and we got a glimpse of the portrate,it was covered in large smash marks and the fat lady was no where to be seen.

"Somebody get the headmaster!"Percy finally shouted when he was at the front and almost immediately after that professor dumbeldoor appeared followed by filch,snape,dad and mcgonnogal.when dumbeldoor examend the painting he turned to look at the other proffesors.

"We must find her"

"You'll be lucky" came a cackling voice,it was peevees the poltergeist

"Why is that peevees?"I asked him

"Well little lupin she is absolutely terrified she is hiding in a portrait of a map on the fourth floor"everyone looked at me really confused because peevees never spoke to anyone nicely except for the bloody baron or the headmaster"he slashed her painting when she wouldn't let him in,nasty temper he's got that sirius black"

"Please tell me your joking peevees"

He flew down to my level and looked at me for the first time he'd ever been at Hogwarts with a sad face

"Sorry little lupin" then he flew away to who knows where and that's when everyone started to freak out.

"Quiet"dumbeldoor bellowed"perfects lead everyone to the Great hall and proffesors get the other houses out of their doorms and into the Great hall"

I don't know what happened but a surge of anger came over me and I snuck through the crowd and started running through the corridors.i wanted to find him and hurt him for what he did to me dad and harry.After a while a saw a tall figure with messy,shoulder length hair and baggy,ripped clothes.

"Hey!" I shouted at it and it stopped running and turned around.his face looked really pale and his eyes were sunken in,I could now see who it's was.it was Sirius black.

"Oh..my..gosh,Avery?"

"Yeah it's me and I'm gonna kill you"

I ran at him as fast I could at him and he easily caught me.

"Ava you have to listen to me" he said with a desperate time in his voice.

"Why should I listen to you you're a murdering lunatic"

"No I didnt,I'm innocent I was framed by Peter petteigrew I would never betray lily,James or rose you have to believe me"

I looked up at him and I could see in his eyes that he wasn't lying,I don't know why but I've always been good at reading people.

"Do you promise?"

A smile graced his features"yes I promise"

"Okay I believe you"

He picked me up and spun me around and gave me a hug.

"Oh I missed you so much you're so big now"

"Well yeah that happenes"

We both laughed and hugged again.

"What about the others how is harry,how is Remus?"

"Well harry is very angry at you but otherwise he is good and dad is good too but I can tell that he has been more sad than I've ever seen him before"

His face slightly dropped at that he regretted going after Peter that night and whishes he had never done it.

"Well I promise you this that when I finally char that stupid rat they will both find out the truth and we can be a proper family again"

We both heard foot steps in the distance and began to panic and he looked at me again.

"Ok Avery you can't tell anyone what I have told you because they might want to get involved and it would ruin the plan that I've got"

"Ok I won't"

The footsteps got louder and closer so he out me down and kneeled infront of me.

"I love you so much my darling Ava and I will cat that bloody rat at some point but I've got to go before I get caught"

"I love you too sirius"

Suddenly dad came running around the corner and stopped in his tracks when he saw Sirius and they just stared at eachother for a minute until I whispered to Sirius.

"Hey you need to go now Sirius before someone else comes"

He gave me a small smile then transformed into a dog and ran off into the forbidden forest.

I turned around and ran to dad and he hugged me really tightly.

"I can't breathe dad"

"Sorry Ava,are okay,did he hurt you?"

"It's alright dad you came just before he was about to do something"

He gave me a nod and picked me up and we went into the Great hall where all the other proffesors were.as soon as we entered all of the teachers turned around and looked at us and when we got to them uncle sev took he from dad out me on his hip.

"Where have you been Ava,you can't go wandering around when there is a murder on the loose,especially one that is after you"

"I didn't go wandering uncle sev,Sirius black took me but dad found us before he could do anything"

"Thank god for that,did you capture him lupin?"

"No he escaped before I could"

"Ofcourse he did" Snape mumbled to himself"

"I did not let him in if that's what you're trying to say"

"Now is not the time to be arguing"dumbeldoor interupted"we need to find a replacement for the fat lady,we can move all the students back into their common rooms in the morning"
