When searching through the corridors I came across a portrait that was being covered by deep,purple silk with a price of rope attached to it.Being the curious little kid that I am I pulled on the rope and uncovered the portrait but as soon as I wished I hadn't.
"HALF BREED SCUM,AUWFUL CHILDREN RUINING MY HOME"
It made me jump and I fell backwards covering my ears.Damn this woman was really annoying I was never going to go near it again.Dad came down the stairs and through the corridors.
"Oh shut up you old bat"
He pulled on the rope again and the fabric covered her up and he stopped shouting and became quiet again.I took my hands off my ears and dad came over and picked me up.
"You alright princess?"
"Yeah I'm fine,I don't like her though"
He laughed a little"Neither do I so please do not open that ever again"
"I definitely won't"
"Now why don't we stoo with all this cleaning and have some fun"
I nodded my head with a smile on my face.The rest of that day was spent messing around and having fun and that's how everyday of the holidays went from then on.Dad had decided to let something called the order of the pheonix use our house as headquarters because Dumbeldore thinks that he who must not be named will come back and another war will begin.So sometimes the order members would come and go through the house.My favourite was a woman called tonks,she was one of the youngest members so she wasn't as serious as the others.She was so cool,she wore cool clothes,had a cool job and was even able to change her apperance,her hair was usually a bubblegum pink but it changed from time to time.Something that she did to try and make me laugh was change her face to have animal features like a pig snout or a duck bill.
I absolutely loved my new life I had two awesome parents,a best friend that was now more like a brother to me and some new friends,Ron, Hermione,fred and george.This year was the best year of my entire life and I was the happiest I have ever been.
