BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Donald obnoxiously blasted his music, waking me up for an exhausting Monday. I lay in bed picturing my future life remaining miserable as it has always been, filled with bad luck, and just simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I picked up my pen and paper and wrote another chapter in my book.
*The Book*
Chapter 6. New Care Taker
I was 7 and my little cousin was 4. Our new rude caretaker Mrs. Tono always targeted me and Sofia. She hits hard on bare skin and leaves bruises. She always said I will never get adopted and I am too worthless.
*End of Book*I looked around the room. The feeling of missing my dog Loyalty, the only thing that kept me comfort, is gone. I sluggishly crept out of bed and packed up for school still half asleep. I had barely made it on time for breakfast. Normally, I would be sitting with Phoenix and Treblina, but today I sat with Sassey.
"Hey, Faith, what's up?" Sassy asked, curiously, as I wouldn't normally sit here.
"The tables are kinda full and all, so you know... Would you mind if I sat here?" I asked with uncertainty.
Needless to say, Sassy accepted. "I have detention today," Sassy blurted out to me. I was really surprised and looked at her with a confused face. She appeared visibly distressed and before I could ask her why, the bell rang and breakfast was over.
A swarm of students exited the cafeteria and I too made my way to my locker to prepare for class, though still wondering about Sassy. It was like a normal day of school. The new classes that were no longer special ed, then theater class. I noticed that Stone has not been in class since like forever. Sometimes I wondered about him as well as I do with Sassey.
In theater, we were doing a play called "Odd Couple Female Version." The old teacher, ushered everyone into silence. As the parts were up for grabs and everyone wanted to be the main characters. So I tried out.
"The people who got the part will be posted on the door at the end of the day," the teacher announced to us.
I walked to my 6th period class. As I was going through the door to the class, Tyler decided to stir up more drama by blocking the door. I tried to force it open but Tyler was stronger than me and kept it shut. Suddenly, Tyler dashed out of the way and my force, still being on the door, made it swing open throwing me to the floor and the door hitting the wall. Everyone's looking at me, pointing, and laughing. That even includes the teacher, Mrs. Tono. She told me off for messing around and told me to sit.
While everyone had their head's down learning, Tyler and Charlie were socializing with one another. Without hesitation the teacher spins around, looks at me, and shouts "Faith, stop talking!" She yelled.
I looked at her then tried to blame Tyler and Charlie, for they have been the ones that were talking.
"We did nothing," Tyler said protecting him and his brother.
Soon the bell rang and Mrs. Tono told me to stay. I didn't like the sound of this. She walked out of the room leaving me behind. I got up and paced around the empty classroom.
When she came back, with other people with her, she looked at me and asked, "Why are you up? What have you been doing?"
I looked at her, not saying a thing. People all around the room looked at me. I would rather talk with Mrs. Tono alone and tell her that she is a horrible teacher. "There are too many people here," I said.
Everyone started to leave the room. I followed behind and when everyone was out, besides me and Mrs. Tono, I shut the door for privacy. But instead, Mrs. Tono opened the door and told them I trapped her in her own room. I was thinking to myself how is that even possible if the lock is inside the room where we were at. I didn't even lock it.
My counselor walked in and told me to come with her. I walked out of the room feeling so much rage towards Mrs. Tono. She has marked the worst teacher of all time.
