(Lapis's POV)

It had been a few hours now since Peridot had left and boredom had begun to kick in. The hand console I was playing was entertaining but I still couldn't quite get how to play the game. It was some weird fighting game labeled "Super Smash Hoes" and no matter how many buttons I mashed on the handheld console I couldn't seem to win any of the matches.

A long sigh escaped my lips as I threw myself down on the bed and rested the console on my chest. It was already nighttime and rain had begun to trickle down tapping gently against the vans roof and windows. The rains pitter patter on the vehicle was so loud that the sounds of Peridot walking up to the vehicle and sliding open the door were muted to the point that by the time I noticed she was back she was already calling out my name.

"Laaaapis~ I'm home!" Jumping on the bed with me she continued with an ecstatic tone "And guess who got a job!"

"Thats awesome Peridot!" I cheered leaning up "Nobody could possibly turn down someone as adorable as you, especially after the amazing job I did with your hair"

"Yeah alright, whatever you say bum." she grinned jokingly punching me in the shoulder continuing "So what have you been up to all day? I hope not eating my snacks"

Her cheeks puffed out as I smiled back at her stupid look lifting the console up

"Actually ive been playing this really cool game I found, I think it was called Super Smash Hoes? I didnt know you played games Peridot!" as I continued talking playfully it became apparent something was wrong as Peridots smile left her face

"Woah are you ok Peridot? I didnt mean to touch your things, I just- i dont know. I was bored and I didnt think you'd mind-"

Reaching over abruptly Peridot snatched the console from my hand tapping the buttons on it furiously with a worried look in her face.

"L-La- Lapis how could you?" biting her lip she looked up from the console towards me with a saddened glare "This was the last bit of memorabilia I had with my brother a-and you-" choking on tears she pulled herself from the bed stepping away from me as i stared back in awe

"What do you mean-" I whispered extending my arm out to her nervously

"You deleted the save Lapis! This was the last game me and my brother ever played together before I left and you deleted it!"

My eyes widened as my once extended hand touched my mouth and all I could do was mouth silently 'im sorry'.

"Why would you do this! Why were you in my things!"

"Peridot I didnt know-"

"AND WHAT" she yelled back tears still streaming down "t-that gives you a right to come into my life and just.. j-ju-just take this from me!"

My feet touched the ground as I slowly walked towards her trying to calm her down with a soothing tone "Peridot.. im so sorry. Is there anything I can do to-"

"Yeah" interrupted Peridot "You can do something, you can leave me the fuck alone!"

She wouldn't even look at me, though I didnt blame her. She just sat there balled up holding the console to her chest as gasps for air and sobs escaped her lips and there was nothing I could say that would make it better. All I could do was watch as she broke down and there was no one else to blame but me.

I bit my lip walking from her as I grabbed my jacket from my duffel bag wrapping it around myself before opening the door to the van and stepping outside.
