"The knocks on the door were becoming louder,
Sooner or later, all of this will be over."I was drinking, drinking a lot. The beer bottles were getting emptier and emptier but do not fret, I'm able to handle it. It takes quite a lot to get me drunk, in fact I'm the hardest one to get drunk in the group.
Loud music was playing from my radio box. It was an old black stereo with random musical stickers pasted onto it. It had a lot of scratches, that poor thing had taken quite the beating.
I laid down on the couch and closed my eyes for a little. I wanted to forget everything, the pain, the faces... My friends faces, Ivy, Lester, Violet, Evan-
I was awoken by the sound of knocking on my door. Who the hell was at my door at this time? I sighed heavily and forced myself up. My head was spinning, guess the alcohol was taking effect.
I got up and opened the door. It was Evan. I had never been more confused, where was he this whole time?
"Evan-"
"Yo! You ready? Come on, we gotta go!"
Evan grabbed my arm and rushed me towards my car. I didn't have my keys but my pocket felt heavy. How did my keys end up in my pocket? My hand automatically took them and we got into the car.
Was I in control?
I turned on the car and we started driving down the road. My arms turning the steering wheel without me controlling them. Something didn't feel right.
"Violet is going to be so mad when she hears we went without her!" Evan laughed and he held up his phone and started recording. I'm confused.
"Look guys! Liliana is taking me to get my favourite donuts!"
Then it clicked.
I remember now, I recognized this street. I've been here before, we've done this before. This isn't the present, this is a memory that's replaying all over again. This is where Evan-
I grabbed the steering wheel and turned it but it didn't do anything. I pressed my foot on the brakes, nothing. I immediately grabbed the hand break and lifted it but the car was still moving. I'm not in control.
"Evan! Evan, you have to get out of the car!"
"These donuts are going to be so awesome!" Evan wasn't listening, I don't think he can hear me.
"Evan, listen to me please! We have to jump out of the car!"
"I'm going to get my favourite chocolate donut. Oh, also, Lester wants some fries so we should head by McDonalds and get him some."
He wasn't listening. There was no way I could get to him and so I throw a punch at him. My fist went through him like he was a ghost or projection. He didn't even flinch. I grabbed at the door handle, but the door wouldn't open.
We finally head up to the intersection, where it all happened. I remembered Lester resting peacefully in a coffin, Violet disappearing, Ivy drowning, the water tap still leaking and hearing the water drop into the sink. I remember, I remember, I remember.
"EVAN!"
A truck runs a red light and loud horns are heard. The truck slams into the passenger side crushing Evan and knocking me out. All I could hear was screams, sirens and scrapping noises before I finally blacked out.
