Chapter 6
* Third person pov *
Khaleesi was fast asleep in her bed, she slept peaceful but still nightmares hovered over her. Everyone was down stairs, all of the pack plus Khaos and her family made the living room seem a bit crowded but for once everyone was silent. Rory kept looking at the stairs, he strained his ears enough to where he could keep track of Shame's breathing and any noise she would make to show he was awake. Khaos took a breath before she started speaking.
" Shame Mercy Mathews is the granddaughter of Giaan and Kiran Fray, she is the daughter of Celeborn and Faye Mathews. She is the only heir to her bloodline but that isn't the only thing that makes her special. Her father has a unique gift, the ability to take the pain and injures from others but also to transfer it to others. It made him feared as well as respected, then he found his mate Faye. When they found out she was pregnant they were over joyed, we all were but the fear of Celeborn's gift passing to their child worried them, they would love her unconditionally but they still thought it was dangerous. With nothing they could do they waited till the baby was born, the idiot doctor they had made the mistake saying they would have a boy. Rogues and wolves form other packs caught wind of this and if they had their child a boy then he would be the most dominant wolf known and feared.
Many attacks were attempted but Giaan had his daughter and mate so well guarded that anyone who tried died. Soon Faye had her child, it was a girl and what's more she bore white silver hair, her baby was a sub. Giaan disowned the girl right then and there but the rumor hadn't spread about the girl and a alpha by the name of Malock caught them off guard, Faye and Celeborn died with only seeing their baby once. Of course Malock was killed instantly, Giaan didn't want the girl so he left her for Kiran to decide. Kiran left her for me to care for, I had no hate for the girl she was a beautiful baby and I loved her dearly. As Alpha Giaan was the one to name her, but not wanting he thought she wasn't good enough for a good name, he named her Shame. Kiran gave her Mercy for a middle name hoping it might make her life a little better. She started showing signs of her fathers powers at six, so Giaan looked into it. It was true enough, Giaan thought that if her kept her so he could marry her off then he would easy his guily of want to leave her. Believe me that if Giaan wasn't my uncle I would have never followed him but also he is much stronger then me and I would be a foolish beta for challenging him.
The pack took his attitude and shamed the girl, she was strictly taught and punished, she was pushed through harsh training so everyone wouldn't look at her like she was a sub. Giaan still saw her as weak and useless, she isn't though. Khaleesi is strong and for her to be here I truly hope to give her a better life than the one she used to have. But even though she is strong, she still gets scared, and you have to be careful. Never tell her she is sick, Giaan never let her get sick and if she was she would have been punished. If she starts to do what she did today then lay her in the river, it is like a connection of her. She was born there and she will go there to think or spend her time, do not disrespect it or she will try to hurt you. Giaan never gave her a childhood so she doesn't act like one. Also remember that her gift comes with consequences, you may think nothing of her but she is special, obedient and kind. If she takes liking to you then she will follow you to the ends of the earth." Khoas finished stroking Lana's hair as the little girl sat quietly with her head on her mother's lap.
Downstream stayed quiet, nobody quiet knew what to say. The pups tried imagining Shame's life and couldn't while the adults tried and imagined something terrifying. Layac clutched his wife, he was happy he asked for Shame, she needed to be taken a way from such a life. After a little while longer and a conversation between others Khaos, Abyss, Kana and Lana left. Everyone else in the pack stay crestfallen before they started doing things. Noises from upstairs made Rory take off first. He reached Shame's room and found her sitting up and looking around in a daze.
