Chapter 3
* Third person pov *
Shame made her way to the river, taking her time because the night was so nice with a light cold breeze. Tonight the moon was full and it was her favorite type of night, even after she was practically yelled at. Once her was at the river she sat her stuff down and dived in without removing her clothes she already wore, this way the smell and blood would wash off them too. She resurfaced and made her way to the sitting rock, her hair hung heavy and stuck to her back. She sighed blowing cold air out of her mouth, it was truly freezing out but she didn't care. Unlike other subs Shame liked cold weather, she could stand it better than most. She was also a lot stronger and faster than other subs because she was directly related to the alpha.
But he cared more for the rest of the pack, to him she was unwanted, an eyesore. The one person who took the place of her parents, a spot that they should have instead of her and he showed her that every day as did most of the other members besides the pups who had little to no problem with her. She brushed them off, she knew fully well she should have died instead of her parents and if she could she would trade her life for theirs. But the Goddess worked in mysterious ways and everyone knew it was impossible.
A snap of a twig made Shame dive back into the river, resurfacing again she turned to see Rory standing on his side of the clearing. He looked at her and made a motion that he wasn't going to made a move to fight. She stayed where she was as his alpha walked towards them and stopped next to him.
" We mean no harm young one, My name is Layac and my Grandson Rory, we wish to talked to your Alpha and wish for you to show the way." He told her. She nodded.
" Grant me a few minutes to get dressed?" She said it as though asking permission. Layac nodded and she swam the her side taking her clothes and towel behind a tree.
A few minutes later she appeared and stood at the edge of the river. A wave of the hand she motioned for them to follow and she made her way back to her house. Her Grandfather stood in front in anticipation with his wife and beta.
" Shame, to the pups while the guests and I talk." He yelled at her, his voice filled with anger.
" Yes Alpha." She replied and walked past. He then lead the two into his study with the two girls following, they all sat down.
" What is it you seek me for to do something as cross out boarder?" He asked.
" Giaan, I wish to combine the packs, a war such as this has gone on long enough." Layac told them. Giaan's wife Kiran huffed at him.
" Two of your pups hurt one of mine and you are talking about forming peace? Whom is it you wish to join?" Giaan replied, the thought of peace come to his mind every few years before something would happen to wipe it out of his mind, the last time was right before his child and her mate died.
" I was there and have dealt with them strictly for it. I wish to combine our heirs, make the next generation with some hope." Layac replied. Giaan laughed hard at this.
" Our Khaleesi is useless but for a treaty I suppose you may have her for free, it gives me the chance to give her spot to someone....more worthy. Khaos bring Khaleesi!" Giaan snapped with a smirk on his face.
Khaos left and returned with Shame, who kept her head held down thinking she had done something wrong, she walked over and stood to his side.
" This is our Khaleesi. Worthless, and disrespectful. Give me your wrists girl." He barked at her. She held them out and watched as her grandfather smashed the back of his hand down on them. Her Grandmother, Khaos, Rory and Layac flinched each time they came in contact. Shame didn't however, she just watched too used to the pain. Giaan stopped when her wrists turned purple and red as the skin broke.
