It was later on in the day. And James was eating a, chicken salad for lunch. He was still confused on why Celeste had acted the way she did, that morning. Considering not that long ago, she wore nothing but a bra and sweatpants in front of him. He shook his head and smiled to himself, she was interesting. And she definitely made being stuck in quarantine, not boring.
James finished his salad, and put the empty bowl into the sink. Rinsed it off, and washed his hands. After he dried his hands off, he left the kitchen and went to his bedroom. He decided to try and write something. He positioned himself on his bed, in front of his laptop. But as soon as his fingers touched the keyboard, his mind went blank.
This writer's block, and self-criticism was plaguing him for such a long time. Ever since he wrote his first book. And it drove him crazy, since that was his job, and he couldn't even write a predicate. He knew he wasn't the first author to go through this, or would he be the last. But he still hated the feeling. And what made it worse, wasn't the fact he couldn't write anything. It was the fact that anything he did try to write, he became his own worst critic over it.
It was one thing to write, but it became a whole different animal, when you try to write something that other people have to enjoy. And everything he tried to write, he figured people would hate it. So he would deleted anything he wrote, and then his mind would go blank.
After awhile, of just sitting and staring at nothing but a blank page on his laptop screen. He got frustrated and left. Closing the laptop shut, and leaving his room. He decided he would visit Celeste, and see how she was doing, after her early morning antics. He left his apartment, and went straight for her door, knocking on it, with no response.
He waited a moment and knocked again. He figured she was sleeping, since she had stayed up all last night, reading his book. But he could hear music coming for her apartment. It was, G-Eazy - I mean it.
James opened her door, and slowly entered inside. Her apartment was hot, it was almost unbearable for James. James felt as though he had just walked into a sauna. His brows began to sweat, and his back started to feel sticky. He turned the corner around her kitchen, and he could see Celeste, but how she looked stopped him dead in his tracks, and made his throat tight.
Celeste was completely naked. She was on a workout mat, doing long-streches. And just then, the heat and everything made sense to him. She was practicing hot yoga. James didn't want to stare, and adverted his eyes quickly, looking down at his feet. But it didn't last long, and his eyes slowly made their way back to Celeste.
James was in awe. She had a beautiful body, and was very flexible. Every movement she made, he would feel himself tighten up. He tried to ignore it, but as hard as he tried, he knew, he was getting turned on. He watched as she went from one yoga pose, to another. And when she laid down into the, downward-facing-dog. His heart jumped into his chest. He took a small step, and her kitchen floor creaked. Celeste heard it, and broke her pose, turning to look into the kitchen.
James froze in spot. And immediately covered his eyes, and looked away."I'm sorry! I didn't see anything! Don't worry!" James exclaimed, feeling his whole body become tense.
"James you should have knocked!" She exclaimed too, clambering to her feet and running to the bedroom.
James hadn't felt this embarrassed in years. And he felt a bit off, for having watched as long as he did. He felt himself die a little inside. He wanted to leave her apartment and run back to his, but he couldn't move.
"You can look now, I'm decent." Celeste said, with a small chuckle.
James slowly looked up, and removed his hands from his eyes. He blinked fast, adjusting his sight. Celeste was wearing her housecoat, holding it together with her hands, leaning to her left side, arms crossed, and staring at James with an embarrassed smile. Her cheeks were red, and James knew, that he wasn't the only who was embarrassed, by the whole situation.
"I'm really sorry." James said sheepishly. "I didn't see anything!"
"That's okay." Celeste said, her cheeks still pink, as she adjusted her housecoat. Keeping it closed with her hands. "Do you want some tea?"
"That's okay, I think I should go." James replied, still not being able to look Celeste in the eye.
"Are you sure? It's okay James. I know you didn't see anything!" She said, giving him playful wink.
"Yes I am. But thank you!" He said, as he slowly back up into the door.
"What did you come over here for then?" Celeste asked.
"I honestly forgot! So I'm just going to go back to my apartment."
James opened up her door just enough, that he could sneak through. Waving goodbye to her, as he closed it. He stood outside her door, and breathed deep. His heart was beating a million miles a minute. As much as he felt bad for staring at her for so long, he could get the naked image of her out of his head. He walked back to his apartment, and went straight for his bedroom. Making it to his bed, falling backwards on to it. Arms out, stretched above his head. No matter what he thought of, he couldn't get the image of Celeste in that one pose, off his mind. And he just laid there, smiling like a fool.
