It was the next day, and James felt alot better. He went to bed early, missing the commotion from the neighboring apartment. And woke up early, had coffee, and didn't have a single drop of alcohol in it. He walking around, and was looking over his entire apartment, slowly sipping from his mug, His apartment was bare. His living room was painted black, with dark-red carpeting. He had a grey-leather, two seater couch, and a green-leather La-Z-Boy. James had a heavy-wooden coffee table, that was dark stained. And he had a medium sized flat-screen tv, which he be barely turned on. It was sitting atop a glass stand, with gold trimming around it. And to the far left in his living room, was a sliding glass door. That opened up to a balcony.
He was a man with simple tastes, and he didn't need much, and had always been that way. Having grown up poor, he learned to live, and enjoy what he had. As he took another sip of coffee, holding it in his mouth, swirling the dark roast around. He caught a very bad scent. Stopping in his tracks, he sniffed again, raising his right arm, he realized it was himself. James scrunched his nose in disgust, to the odor.
He placed the mug down on the counter. And went straight to his bathroom, which was located next to his bedroom. He flicked on the bathroom light. Walking to the mirrored medicine cabinet, which sat over his circular, bathroom sink. He opened it up, and got a forgetten surprise. He took a deep breath and laughed to himself, fleeing foolish. He thought he had got rid of everything that belonged to Stacy.
The cabinet was full of her, makeup, perfumes, some feminine-products, and tons of hair products. He couldn't believe the two of them shared this cabinet, he barely had enough room for his own stuff. He quickly left the bathroom, and returned with a garbage bag in hand. He sat the opened bag inside the sink, and dump everything in. Sweeping his hand across the shelves, making sure to miss his own things. Everything fell into the bag, with a loud crash, banging against the porcelain of the sink.
Once the cabinet was empty, he hoisted the bag out of the sink, and scanned around the rest of the bathroom, for anything else. He looked through the glass door of the shower, and couldn't see any of her bath products, forgetting she had brought those with her on her work trip. Once he was certain, she had nothing left in the bathroom. He tied the bag up, bringing it out into the hallway, and tossing it with the others.
Going back into the bathroom, James walked over, and opened the glass door to his large walk-in shower. He turned the water on, and let it run. He placed his hand under the water, and felt it, as it turned from cold, too hot. He quickly got undressed, grab a towel from the back of the bathroom door. And stepped in. The warm water felt amazing over his body. And he just stood there, resting his hands against the shower wall, holding all his weight forward, as the warm water soaked his body.
He showered for over an hour, washing his hair, and entire body with ferocity, trying to kill the body odor. And reach that lovely, clean feeling. He stepped out and dried off. Wrapping the towel around his waist, after he was done. He wiped away the steam from the mirror, and looked at himself. His hair was a mess from towel drying. And he began to pat it down and fix it. Brushing the front, to the right side, with his fingers.
He reached into the cabinet, and grabbed his styling product, and slowly started to style his hair. After he was done, he place the product back. And grabbed his shave gel and razor, and started to work on his face. Shaving the five day stubble away. Afterwards he rinsed his face off, and looked into the mirror. He was starting to look like himself again.
He left the bathroom and went into his bedroom. And quickly got dressed. Throwing on a pair of blue jeans and a white v-neck shirt. He quickly re-entered the bathroom, and looked in the mirror. His piercing blue eyes, chiseled jaw, and clean shaven baby face, looked back at him. It was the first time in five days, he felt good, and looked good. He left the bathroom and went straight for the Bluetooth speaker, in his room. His phone was beside the speaker, and hooked the two of them up. And turned on his Spotify. He was feeling a throwback, so the first song he played was, a classic from when he was in school. He played, Eve and Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Ya Mind. As the music started, he left his room and headed for the kitchen. But before he left his room, he heard loud knocks coming for his bedroom wall.
He looked back at the wall in confusion. He could hear muffled-yelling from the other side, but he couldn't make out what Celeste was saying. He left the room and went straight for the hallway door. He swung it open and leaned out. Celeste coincidentally, did the same, leaning just her head out.
