"Hey Dana! Oh hey Vivian! It's a pleasure to finally meet you!" Audri said when she opened the door.

Ugh just her fake voice annoyed me. Yeah... I ended up coming to his "friend's" birthday party.

~An hour earlier~
Dana hugged me tight. After he let go he asked me millions of questions. I actually practiced answering questions he might ask me so it wouldn't look like I'm running away cause I like him.

"How could you not tell me that you became a singer? I could've helped you." He said.

"Dana, I can't have you always helping me. You've already did that so many times. I'm not your baby childhood friend anymore, so I don't want to always have to depend on you." I said.

He looked a little hurt after I said that.

So then I said "I appreciate everything you've done for me, I really do, but I have to do some things on my own too, Dana."

He looked into my eyes.

"I missed you. I haven't talked to you since last year and it's been driving me crazy not being able to find you." He said.

I blushed.

He took my hands in his and said "Come with me to Audri's party. We can make up for the time we lost together."

"I really shouldn't Dana-" I started to say.

I really don't want to go to her house.

"I insist!" He said and started walking while pulling me along.

And here I am now. At his "friend's" place. On the couch. By myself. So much for making up for lost time together. Dana went with Audri to talk to their friends the moment we came. I sighed. Why would Dana want me to come to a party when he's going to ignore me again? As I got up to leave, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh sorry-" I started to say.

"Hey watch it- Oh my God."

I looked up and saw three tall guys looking down at me with shocked expressions.

"Are you Sxkura?!?" They all asked very loudly, loud enough to turn everyone's attention to me.

Crap. Everyone's expressions went from neutral to shocked.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't know Audri invited Sxkura here! Sing us a song! We love you!" was all I heard.

I looked over at Dana and Audri who were happy talking together and fooling around. That confirmed my assumptions. They like each other, and I can't get to Dana's heart. I wanted to leave and cry in my bed. Then I spoke up.

"I was just leaving actually."

Everyone begged me to stay, and I saw Dana pleading me. After seeing him constantly flirt with his "friend"? Not a chance. I grabbed my purse and was about to leave when one of the guys grabbed my arms.

"Just one song Sxkura please?" They pleaded, along with everyone.

"Alright, I will." I said smiling my fakest smile.

Dana played the piano while I sang Happy Birthday to Audri. That jerk. I did not like it. Singing to the girl who is stealing Dana from me, but I did it. After I finished, I grabbed my purse and shoes and ran out the door as people cheered. Dana ran out after me, catching me by the wrist.

"Vivian... Where are you going? The party isn't over-" before Dana said anymore, I interrupted him.

"Dana what am I to you?" I asked.

There I said it. We looked at each other. It seemed as though an hour passed and all we did was stare at each other. He scratched his head.

"Well... We've been best friends for a long time by now, I guess a good friend?" He said.

"If I'm such a good friend, then why aren't you being a good friend back? Why do you suddenly always ignore me? Even today when you wanted to make up for our lost times, why drag me to Audri's party when you are going to ignore me in the end and hang out with her?" I said.

Dana tried to interrupt me but I kept going, as my emotions poured out uncontrollably.

"You keep confusing me, Dana. Why did you say you went crazy because you couldn't find me? Why do you do these things to make me like you even more-" I stopped.

Crap. I said it. He now knows my feelings.

"Wait. Vivian, did you just say that you like me?" Dana asked surprised.

I felt embarrassed that I just confessed my feelings.

I tried waving it off, saying "I-it was just a joke, I-" then I stopped again. I can't cover it up anymore.

"Since the 8th grade." I said.

His eyes widened.

"But you said, that it was a joke.." He said. "

"It was a lie. I wanted to cover it up so I wouldn't make you feel bad for what you said to me...." I said.

I felt the tears welling up. I quickly ran off before he could say anymore.

After I got home to the apartment and unlocked the door, I found Kaila and my other friend, Jennifer eating ice cream and crying.

"(Panting) What happened to you guys?" I asked as I sat down next to them.

Kaila went first. "Luke... He thinks I cheated on him but he should know that I love only him!" She said sobbing.

I gave her a hug. Then I turned to Jennifer.

"Matt got into a plane accident and the doctor said he might not make it! I can't lose him!" She said.

I hugged them both as tears started flowing down my own cheeks. I was crying for my friends, and Dana. Then Kaila and Jennifer saw that I was crying.

"Viv, what's wrong?" They both asked.

I took a shaky breath.

"I can't get to Dana's heart at all! He keeps stepping over my heart! He's always confusing me and I know its my fault for not telling him, but he already rejected me in the most painful way before!" I vented as the tears endlessly fell down my cheeks.

My friends hugged me.

"He's a jerk Viv. I know you love him and all but you have to move on." Jennifer said.

Kaila nodded in agreement.

I knew that I had to move on, but the thought of it was painful, so I cried even more. For the rest of the night, me and my girls vented our feelings about our love life.
