Chapter 13

Today was me and Dana's first date. He called me the day after to get ready so he can pick me up. I asked him where we were going, but he didn't tell me, he only said that it was a surprise. After I got ready, Dana arrived.

"Hey" I said.

"Hey" he said back.

The car ride was awkward. Just yesterday we were still best friends and now we're a couple. I cautiously looked over and our eyes met. We both looked away.

"Damn it." Dana said.

"What is it?" I asked.

He stopped the car and slowly turned to me. I noticed that he was blushing.

"You're so pretty I can't even look at you."

My face went red.

"D-dana!" I said.

"What?" He said.

"You just made it even more awkward!" I said.

He blushed too.

"But you did too by mentioning it!" He said.

We both looked at each other's red faces. Then we laughed.

"So can you tell me where are we going?" I asked.

"Still not telling you" He said winking.

I pouted. He looked at me and laughed.

"Stop pouting, Pouty. We're almost there-" He said when his phone rang.

While he answered I looked out the window and started taking pictures of the view and everything.

That's when I heard Dana yell "What do you mean?! It was scheduled to next week! No you told me it was next week! I told you I'm taking Vivian on a date right now!"

I nearly dropped my phone when I heard him yell. Then Dana sighed in frustration.

"Fine." He said and he hung up.

"....What happened?" I asked.

Dana stopped the car again and looked at me sadly.

"I'm really sorry, Vivian, but I have to go on tour today... To England..." He said.

I looked back at him with the same sad expression.

"What? But I thought... It was next week..." I said. He looked down.

"That was the plan. It was rescheduled to next week but Jill just called me and told me she changed it back...I'm really sorry" He said.

Of course, tears started forming in my eyes.

"F...For how long?" I managed to ask.

Dana still didn't look up. "...A month. I have 4 locations in England for performing..." He said.

I took a shaky breath. Why now, the day Dana and I can finally be a couple be ruined just like that? I then reached over and gave him a hug. He looked up into my teary eyes.

"...A-at least we're even now, I left you before so I have to experience it." I said smiling through my tears.

Dana was silent for a moment but then he smiled back.

"You're amazing you know that?" He said.

I blushed and he wiped my tears away. Then we drove to the airport.

"Dude you guys better get your asses back here fast as you can or you have me to deal with!" Jennifer said to Dana and Will when we were at the airport.

They laughed. "We will." They said.

Then they hugged Jennifer, Kaila, Luke, and Matt before turning to me and Kanika.

Will hugged Kanika and said "Your prince will come back to you soon princess."

Kanika laughed and playfully shoved her boyfriend.

"You're such a dork! But I love you, my prince." She said smiling.

They hugged tightly. Dana looked at me.

"You be a good girl now!" He said smiling while ruffling my hair.

"I'm not a dog!" I said laughing.

He then gave me a big hug and whispered in my ear "I love you, always."

I blushed and tears formed again before he kissed my cheek.

He then said "I'll be back before you know it! Don't worry!" and he walked away.

I smiled through my tears and I yelled "Bye! I love you too Dana Vaughns!!!"

He turned around blushing when all of our friends started snickering and the whole airport smiling at us and he waved before he boarded the plane with the rest of IM5. Payback for making me blush hee hee <3
