Chapter 24

Vivian P.O.V
I've lost my boyfriend and my best friend. People say it hurts more when you lost your best friend than your boyfriend/ girlfriend, but Dana was both. It hurts. I never felt so betrayed.

"It wasn't revenge! I really do love you Vivian! Please believe that..." Dana said.

"I don't believe you! Even if it wasn't revenge, I lost all my trust in you Dana! All those times we had together... Every time you said you loved me... Were those all lies too?!" I yelled through my tears.

Dana managed to catch up to me after I ran out of his parent's house. He grabbed my wrists.

"Vivian... My feelings for you are real. Every moment we had together was real, but before we got together, Audri's parents arranged this marriage. It's all for business. At first, I refused because I wanted to be together with you, but they threatened to hurt you if I didn't accept, so I did but I managed to ask them to at least give me a few months to spend time with you, please believe me..." He said.

I tried struggling out of his grip on my wrists.

"Vivian!" He snapped.

"Let me go! How could you give up your freedom and your happiness for me to become a prisoner like that?!" I said crying.

He finally let go of my wrists and he grabbed my shoulders.

"It's because I love you! That's why I'm trying to protect you!" He yelled.

I looked up at his eyes.

"Then why would you do something like that to protect me?!" I yelled back.

He looked down.

"You don't know how much I love you too, Dana! How much I yearned for this happiness with you, but it's about to be thrown away because of me! How can you do this?! Why Dana?!" I yelled crying even more.

He hugged me tighter as I sobbed.

"I'm so sorry.." He kept whispering.

We didn't say anything to each other, just stood there hugging each other, never wanting to let go. After I stopped crying, Dana left. We just couldn't say anything to each other after that. Right after he was out of sight, I fell to the ground with a fresh river of tears. I didn't want to lose him. Why is he always far away? I was finally able to reach him, but he's being taken away...And I may never be able to reach him ever again....

Kaila's P.O.V
I took off my dress and makeup and changed into my pajamas. After that, I threw myself on the bed and wrapped myself into a burrito in my blankets. I couldn't believe what was happening. Luke was cheating on me all this time? Then my phone buzzed. I rolled over and saw the text from Luke.

"Babe, where are you?" It said.

I usually answered right away, but not this time. I threw my phone across the room and took a nap to shut out everything in this damn world.

I woke up to my phone buzzing again. I got out of bed and picked up my phone. Holy shiz. 45 new messages from Luke. Most of the texts were like:

"Kaila, where the fudge are you?
"Babe please answer. I'm worried..."
"I swear if you don't answer now I will send a search party for you."

The most recent one he sent was:

"I'm at your apartment. Open the door."

Right after, I heard his knocking.
