Chapter 23

Vivian P.O.V
His parents opened the door.

Once they saw me, they hugged me saying "Vivian! It's great to see you again! We've missed you so much!"

I was stunned. I looked over at Dana and he smiled.

"I told you so!" He mouthed.

I smiled back and hugged his mother. Then she brought me in and introduced me to the other family. They all smiled and waved. That's when I saw her. Audri. She glared at me. Why was she here?

Dana's mother then put a hand on my shoulder and said "Vivian, this is Audri, Dana's friend! Audri this is Vivian, Dana's girlfriend!"

I stiffly said Hi and she did the same.

"Hey Audri!" Dana said when he walked in after me.

She saw him and gave him a big smile.

"Hey Dana!" She said and she gave him a bear hug.

I felt rage boiling in my heart. Is this jealousy? I shouldn't feel like this. No. It will only cause Dana trouble. Don't be jealous...

As my reunion with Dana's parents went on, Audri kept hanging around Dana and trying to get closer. I couldn't even get 3 seconds with him without her coming in and dragging him off. He didn't seem to notice. I was helping his mom and aunt in the kitchen as I saw them talking and laughing. My blood boiled but I said nothing. I can't bring trouble to Dana..

"So how has your singing career going Vivian?" Dana's aunt said.

I pulled myself together and smiled at his aunt.

"It's going good! I'm working on a new song right now!" I said.

Dana's mom then whispered into her sister's ear "I'm honored to have Vivian as my son's girlfriend! She's so beautiful and talented!" She smiled and winked at me.

I smiled at her then got back to helping preparing the food. Every once in a while, I would look up at Dana and Audri. They were laughing and looked so happy. No. Don't be jealous...

After we ate, everyone was talking and I was washing the dishes when I saw it. Audri grabbed Dana and kissed him! Okay, now I'm mad. I felt the anger raging to a boiling point. I walked, more like threw myself at her. I smacked her right in the face.

"What are you doing?!" I yelled.

She started crying.

"No please! I couldn't hide my feelings for him! I love Dana! He's my fiancee!" She cried.

I stopped my punch in midair. She's engaged to Dana?! But she's Jason's girlfriend! What the hell is she saying?!

"Audri! I told you not to tell!" Dana snapped.

I stepped back and looked at Dana.

"S-she's joking right?" I said trying to laugh it off.

Dana looked down. He didn't look into my eyes. The rest of his family also looked down. I heard my heart crack.

"How...how long has this been going on?" I asked.

Dana said nothing so his mother answered "...two years."

That hit me hard. Dana was engaged, but yet he said he loved me and went after me. He...he was lying all along?! Was all those things he did for me all lies?! I couldn't hide my anger and my hurt so I took it out on Audri. I punched her and slapped her and I was about to kick her when Dana and his cousin held me back.
