7. The beginning of the end day 1

Day 1

It was now two months later and he was never feeling as light as the past two months. Since that day, he felt happier. People realized this and today was even better because all of his elements would arrive or soon two days from now on. The three friends of his were helping Gauis with herbs and so he was for once he was alone.

A loud voice interrupted him and he winced at this. At first; the confusion was going through him but soon he realized that this was a loud voice he hadn't heard in a while. Merlin almost gave up, thinking that his sun was the only one who would arrive.

"Extreme running!"

He chuckled at this and started to rush towards the voice. To his surprise, the male looked like Knuckles and wears a priest's clothes. Grey eyes met his blue and a spark happened.

"Extreme hug!"

Was all he heard before a blur of black tackled him into a tight hug. It led to him lose his balance and t- with a startled yelp- and falling on his butt. A laugh started to bubble in him and he hugged the person back. His face buried into the chest and he started to cry -not out of sadness but- out of happiness.

"Knuckles I presume?"

The person let go of the hug and grinned brightly now. It was clear that he was happy and the same went for Merlin. A bright smile was given, but that was short-lived as he heard a sudden cry in his mind...

Ah!

The voice sounded like a kid -one which was in pain- and this made him furrow his brows. There was now as well the fact that his HI wanted him to go somewhere.

"Follow me."

His voice was now in authority, which he just had when being in boss mode. Knuckles blinked at this but nodded. His expression turned straight to serious and his as well. They both stood up and starting to walk outside.

The same despair voice was heard. One which sounded as well hurt. His HI pricked more and he looked around.

Please...you need to help me...

It took him one minute to catch a boy sitting behind a fountain.

Alright, I will. Just follow me...

Merlin wasn't going to let a boy in need alone. Although his HI as well as warning him that this boy can be dangerous. Not the first time, but he couldn't and wouldn't let that boy die. He gave Knuckles a nod and they started to walk towards an entrance. His eyes glanced for a moment to the boy and then giving him a sign to run. As he started to run; the use of mist flames was initiated. So that they couldn't see the boy anymore.

He opened the door without a second thought and let both insides, not caring that he wasn't knocking.

"Never heard for knocking the door?"

This made his attention go back to Morgana and giving her an apologetic look.

"I apologize to you, my lady. But this boy needs help and the guards are searching for him. I make a bet that this had to do with that asshole of king Uther."

His voice sounded angry and by now Morgana was used to this. She gave him a nod and points behind the curtain. The three went there. Knuckles was silent for once, knowing that they needed to stay as quiet as possible. His attention wasn't on the boy, but it changed when he felt sun flames. His head glance towards Knuckles to see that he was using them to heal a wound. A sigh escaped knowing that at least he didn't need to worry.
