Day 4 - 6

With each win of Valiant, it made him feel more nervous. And he realized that the male will fight again Arthur. This made him worried sickly and he feared that he would lose him. Merlin heard as well from Arthur that all of the tournaments knights would have a feast together with him and the king, so that he knew that he could finally put the plan into action.

So he went inside, and using mist flames to make him invisible. There was just no way that he could let himself be seen. Merlin went inside destroying one of the heads, and getting outside again with ease. These snakes weren't even remotely stronger then him -with him being fast and quick- it was quickly done and he went back. Without anyone seeing him.

At first he wanted to tell Arthur, but he couldn't. There were different problems right now- Evans- which would need to be protected.

"Here, oh and I am staying near Evans. He will realize that one of the snakes head is missing."

Gaius raised an eyebrow at him and he let out a sigh. Why was it that Gaius wasn't thinking that Evans could end up dead? It was the logical reaction from anyone who wants to stop this from coming out.

"Think about this, someone knows what you did. And that someone should die, but ended up being alive. What would you do? I for sure would remove any witness. And Evans here is one."

The realization hit Gaius and he looked at him with an expression that was both awe and impressed.

"Of course! Why didn't I think of this? Alright you tell Arthur that you won't get to help him out as you need to take care of Evans."

He beamed and grinned now brightly. At least so he could protect this person from dying.

"Alright, I am going now to Arthur."

Merlin turned around, but before he went away; he heard Gaius say.

"That was very brave of you, Merlin."

His expression just brightens more, and he gave a mock salute and going to Arthur's room.

"So your telling me that you have to help Gaius out tomorrow?"

He nodded and looking a bit sorrowful. He felt a bit sorrowful that he couldn't work, or see Arthur, but he wasn't going to let Evans die.

"Yeah. Gaius will be needed tomorrow by the tournament or not? So who will take care for sir Evans when the physician isn't there?"

Tone in a matter of fact being used and Arthur hummed at this and let out a sigh.

"Makes sense, but there is another reason or not?"

His eyes widen at first, then he blinked and soon he chuckled as giving him a sheepish expression.

"There was a snake bite. And that comes from a shield. I had cut of the head and now Gaius is making a antidote, but the issue here is...that he could end up getting killed."

All he hoped that the other male would believe him. There was a thoughtful hum given and then Arthur started to talk.

"So your telling me someone is using magic in Camelot?"

He nodded and Arthur hummed again.

"In the tournament?"

Another nod was given and he was looking serious right now.

"Alright, but how do I know that your not lying?"

His lips turned into a thin line as he gave him a troubled expression.
