Stella's POV

Currently, I was standing next to Coach Baker as we watched Baker asked for the ball. Baker missed the throw causing me to sigh and rub my hand over my face.

JJ cheered as Coach blew the whistle and went, "no, no, no. Sloppy. Sloppy!"

"Is this the team that just won the division championship? Huh?" Coach Baker asked the team.

"Yeah, Coach," someone answered him causing me to roll my eyes.

"Play like it! Please."

"Hey, what's up with you?" I whispered to Baker as I stood next to him.

"Nothing," Baker said shrugging me off.

"Come here, J,"  Coach ordered him. Coach Baker gave me a look and I nodded my head slightly.

"I'll let you two be." I walked towards JJ, who's back was to me and jumped on him.

"Stelie!" JJ shirked as his arms wrapped around my legs and locked me into place.

"We need to hang out," I told JJ causing him to nod his head.

"You better bring your suit next time," JJ complained.

"I will," I said before sliding off JJ's back. JJ turned around and faced me right as Coach Baker yelled out, "All right, y'all. Huddle up."

"I understand it's been a tough week," Coach spoke loudly as Spencer finally joined us. "I understand that. I don't care. If you play the way you have been playing, we are gonna be one and done in playoffs. Do you understand me?"

"Yes, sir," the guys responded.

"Do you understand me?" Coach asked them again.

"Yes, sir," they repeated louder this time.

"Now, I said at the start of the season, you win, you get recognized," Coach Baker started off. "Well, we won. The L.A. Tribune has announced their regular season awards."

"And I'm humbled as I tell you that I have been named division coach of the year."

"That's my coach," a guy yelled as we all clapped it up for Coach Baker.

"Thank you. All right." We settled down with the claps as Coach Baker continued speaking. "For real, I could not have won without each and every one of you players giving your all, especially with you, Stella."

"That also includes the division player of the year, Mr. Spencer James." The guys broke out into applause for Spencer and patted his back.

"I'm proud of all of y'all. We got a scrimmage on Monday, so be better. You heard?"
