Poetry is a form of art
That will forever be set in stone
My words will be
Forever the imprint that
I leave in this world
For I have nothing left to give
Other than the words
That flow from my brain
Onto the pages
And into your eyes
Into your ears
Forever ingrained
In your memory
As the words that I said
And the words that I wrote
For you to remember me by
When I return
To the ashen dust
That is the Earth.
