Why must I
FIght for the rights
With which I was born
Just because
I do not conform
With what you believe?
Why must I
Continue to struggle
And hide my true self
Regardless of the price I pay
Shoving away my identity
In order to keep my life?
Why must I
Awaken every morning
With even more scars
While you sleep peacefully
As I crave nothing
But death?
Why must I
Use up all of my strength
Fighting to keep my
Human Rights
As if your religion
Is worth more than my life?
Why must I
Be seen as a monster
When the true monster
Is you?
