                                                 -Lex.

Standing in the scorching heat of the sun, feet burning as the boiling sand engulfs them . Looking up from the ground I take a deep breath in and suddenly begin choking on the dry air , unable to catch my breath , I start worrying which triggers a panic attack. Trying to look for anything that will calm me I begin walking and not looking were I was going I tripped over something making me fall to the ground , now sitting on my calves I begin to breath unsteadily like the air was thick and heavy , clutching the sand below me which burned my hands. It hurt to breathe I frantically started saying I don't want to be here anymore I repeated this about fifteen times as I began to cry tears streaming down my face and slightly dampening the sand underneath me. Suddenly a cool breeze engulfs me and calms my breathing , I open my eyes noticing that the once bright field that I sit in is now a light grey colour , I sit up looking at the dark grey sky , I close my eyes just listening to the wind rushing around me ,taking a deep breath of the cool air I open my eyes and let the rain nourish my dry body and my surroundings , I start smiling and notice that this is the first time in a while that I have been happy and I actually am happy just sitting in the rain , in this moment I was okay and I knew that things would be okay that I would be okay , I stand up and lightly chuckle while I spin around and dance in the rain. The next morning I wake up with a smile on my face , I hurriedly got out of bed and ran to the front door , opening it revealing the dry field has little blossoms sprouting making it hard to believe that yesterday there was nothing here beside sand and nothingness and now filled with life and hope .
