Until I met him...

Then my whole world changed...

He became the center of my world

And my whole world revolved around him...

*~*~*~*~*
"Ella! Ella!!"

I rolled my eyes as I stepped out of the shop.

"Amaka, I'm here," I said as she glanced my way.

"Those tipa people want to buy popcorn," she informed me and went inside.

I looked across the road and saw the lorry.

Why can't they just crossroad and come get it?

"How much own!" I yelled.

"Two hundred naira!" the man replied.

I hurriedly packaged four popcorn into nylon and quickly crossed the road which I had a phobia for.

"Nne, thank you," the man smiled.

"No problem," I replied as I pocket the money ready to cross the road again.

"Bring more three hundred naira own," the man said quickly as he handed me the money.

Annoying, can't he just... Ugh...

I stop in the middle of the road as a bus blocked my path from crossing further.

"My wife." The voice of a man on the bus said.

Okay??

WTF!!

Who is this creep?

"Nne, hurry up."

I snapped out of my trance as I heard the lorry driver's voice.

Mom would kill me if I lose even a single customer.

Quickly abandoning the psycho bus driver I finished my crossing in a hurry, packaged six popcorn, hurried back, and gave it to the man.

Finally, I had time for myself.

I walked straight to the shop trying desperately to ignore him but he stepped in the way.

"What do you want," I snapped.

"I want to see your mom," he replied proudly.

"For what exactly?" I tapped my foot impatiently on the ground.

"To ask for your hand in marriage," he smirked.

I burst out in laughter as I stared at him.

There's nothing Nuella will not see in this umuoba. Every Dick and Tom now wants to marry me.

I glanced at him then back to the empty bus.

He looked sweaty and had the typical example of a bad boy look, a thug exactly.

I frowned.

He seemed to read my thought but not quite catching on.

"I'll come back with my private car," he promised as he jumped into the bus and drove off.

I burst into laughter again.

Car owner.

I smirked at his new nickname.

"Ella, the people that want to marry you are now too much oo," Ify commented.

I look up to see Ify, Amaka, and Chioma smiling mischievously.

They were my neighbors learning a trade, tailoring to be exact and their madam, Tina wasn't around.

Smiling, I walked in and picked up my novel to continue my story.

I guess I was lost in the words of the story because time flew by quickly and the next thing I saw was a black Camry car parked in front of the shop.

A new customer.

The driver stepped out of the car and I groaned inwardly.

Car owner.

"I told you I was going to come back," he smiled.

He obviously must have cleaned himself up because he looked a lot better than when I saw him this morning.

"You did," I sighed.

"My name is Chikadibia," he introduced, "short form is Chika. What's yours?"

I rolled my eyes and groaned.

We're back to the cycle of after introduction, friendship then they want something more.

Well just like the others I'll still chase him away.

He'll go by himself.

Only then didn't realize just how wrong I was.

I smiled.

"I'm Nuella."
