Conflict. My. Best. Friend.

Conflict is the only thing that can make you understand what is true or false.

You haven't had a conflict before?

Then you're yet to begin life's journey.

And unlike mine,

I wish you success till you meet...

CONFLICT.

*~*~*~*~*
"Finally," I muttered as we stood up to share the grace.

I've been battling sleep for the past four hours of being in the church.

Yes, today's Sunday which means exactly six hours of service.

Mom once told me that whenever I start sleeping during anything church-related (spiritual) then that means I'm lagging.

I'm no longer in alignment with the holy ghost.

Something like that.

But who cares?

I just want to go back home, eat and go to the shop so I can see my baby.

Awww, I'm blushing.

I'm talking about Chika oo.

Leaving mom behind since she was still talking with other women I walked towards the exit.

My stomach grumbled.

Damn, I'm famished.

I didn't eat anything at home before coming to the shop, mom said it's always good to fast and pray during Sunday service.

I inhaled the aroma of the hot bun and puff puff.
"Madam, please put two hundred naira puff puff for me," I shouted amidst the shouts and request of others, waving my money

I waited for five minutes before I was finally given the puff puff.

This woman is the only one selling snacks here in the church.

Due to the late service dismissal, people always patronize her before going home.

"Nne, nyem soya milk ka m were gbatuo ihe a," I requested handing the woman's daughter another two hundred naira note.

Don't worry I didn't steal the money, it's one of the perks of having a rich boyfriend.

"Ella, buy for me too." I heard my brother's voice even before I could see him.

I handed him the puff-puff as he walked up to me smiling.

"Thank you," he smiled, "I don't know what mommy is still doing there. Somebody is just hungry here."

At least we both agree on the same thing.

"Wait she'll soon come," I assured him as he pouted and ate his puff-puff contentedly.

It was a beautiful afternoon.

The sun was shining brightly and everyone was radiant in their Sunday dress.

I smiled.

It's always a beautiful day when you get to see your beloved.

That's why I'm rushing to get to the shop in time.
