After school, Tatum met up with Sarah as she was getting her books out of her locker.

"So I was thinking, we should have a girls night tonight. You, me, Rose, Sid. You in?" Tatum asked.

"Maybe, if I can either convince my dad to let me leave, or talk Billy into covering for me." Sarah responds.

"Just say you're coming to my place for a study group. That should work, right?" Tatum asks.

"Tate, you know what I have to deal with at home." Sarah says, "Something tells me that it's gonna be worse with.... You know. But, I'll try to be there. If I can't, I'll let you know."

"So, pick you up at your place if I don't hear anything saying you can't go?" Tatum asks.

"Pretty much, yeah." Sarah responds.

"Okay! See you then!" Tatum says before heading off.

Sarah finished getting what she needed to bring home before she met up with Billy.

"Where's Sid?" Sarah asks.

"She just left." Billy responds. "Come on, let's go."

"So, what are the odds you think that either one of us will be able to go out tonight?" Sarah asks as they're walking home.

"Got something planned?" Billy asked.

"Girl's night at Tatum's." Sarah responds.

"Yeah, good luck with that." Billy says.

"Oh, come on. Like you're not gonna try and sneak out to see Sidney again." Sarah counters."

"You got me." Billy responds. "What's the lie?"

"That I'm going to Tatum's to study."

"Fine. But if I get caught-"

"It's on you." Both siblings finished together.

When they made it home, Sarah was able to convince her dad to let her go to Tatum's, as long it was just to study. She then spent most of the afternoon working on homework and getting her stuff ready for her 'study session.' She packed some clothes to sleep in, a hairbrush, essentials, and one or two notebooks to go with her lie.

Tatum arrived at around 7:00. Sarah then got her bag and headed out the front door, saying she'd be back after.

"I see you were able to make it out after all." Tatum says once the girls are in the car, "Did you use the study group lie?"

"Yup." Sarah responds, "Took a little convincing, but Dad bought it. And I got Billy to help cover for me just in case."

"Nice. So Rose said she had something come up, so she can't make it. So, it's just you, me, and Sid tonight. I thought we'd stop by the video store first and then go pick her up."

"I'm always up for a trip to the video store. You know I love movies."

"Are you sure it's not because you want to see Randy?"

"Shut up, Tate. It's not like that."

"Come on, Sarah. It's pretty obvious to anyone who pays attention that you like him. Who knows, maybe he might like you."

"I highly doubt that. We're just friends. Besides, I thought he liked Sidney."

"He did, until she started dating Billy."

"And your point?"

"One of you needs to make a move already."

"Can we just drop the subject?"
