Sarah, Sidney, and Hallie were escorted back to the dorms by the two detectives that were assigned to protect Sidney. They started at Sarah's room, helping her pack a few suitcases. She grabbed her daily essentials, makeup, some clothes (including Billy's shirt and jacket), and other miscellaneous items of value to her. After that, they went to Sidney and Hallie's room and did the same thing. The girls then waited until it was dark before they headed out. Derek was also waiting for them as the two detectives put the bags in the car. He was talking with Sidney while Sarah and Hallie approached with the last few bags.
"Hey, wait up." Hallie says as the girls approach.
"They're fine." Sidney says as Derek gives them a confused look.
"I'm her therapist." Hallie says sassily before handing her back to one of the detectives and getting in the car.
"See ya, Derek." Sarah says quietly before doing the same thing.
Sidney and the detectives climbed in a moment later before they drove off. It was silent, and most of the roads were deserted, which only made Sidney and Sarah slightly more uncomfortable.
"So where are you taking us, anyway?" Hallie asks after they stop at a red light.
"If we tell you, we'll have to kill you." The first detective said.
"Don't ask, don't tell." The second detective added just as Ghostface appeared.
The girls screamed as Ghostface broke the window and slit the detective's throat before climbing on top of the car. The first detective got out of the car and tried to fight Ghostface, but the killer had the upper hand. Meanwhile, the girls continued screaming as they tried to get out, but they were locked in the backseat of the car. Ghostface then got behind the wheel and started driving recklessly with the detective clinging to the hood of the car. The girls freaked out and tried to take cover as the car crashed multiple times before finally driving into some metal bars, killing the other detective and seemingly knocking out the killer.
"Is he dead?" Hallie asks when they get up, referring to Ghostface.
"I don't think so." Sarah answers.
"No, he's still breathing." Sidney adds.
"Oh, is he dead?" Hallie then asks, this time referring to the detective.
"Oh, God. I think so." Sidney answers.
The girls then tried the doors and windows again, but still no luck.
"How are we supposed to get out of here?" Hallie asks.
"We're not. It's a cop car." Sarah says.
Sidney then noticed the mesh wall was broken and started to pull it back. With some help from Sarah and Hallie, they managed to create a big enough entrance for Sidney to crawl out and into the front. Carefully, she pulled herself through, but the door on the passenger side was too close to a wall. Their only option was to climb over Ghostface and out the driver side window. Sidney went first, with Sarah next, and finally Hallie. As soon as all three girls were out of the car, they took off running.
"Wait." Sidney says after they're a short distance away, "I want to know who it is."
"Oh, no. Come on, Sid." Hallie says.
"Trust me, I want to know too, but now is not the time." Sarah adds.
"She's right. We should go." Hallie adds.
"I'm going back." Sidney says, starting towards the car.
"Look, stupid people go back." Hallie says, "Smart people run. We're smart people, so we should just get the fuck outta here."
