Back at the set, Rose was with Roman, Dewey, and Jennifer, the actress playing Gale in the movie. Roman was ranting about the issues going on with the movie, as well as a dead cast member.
"All I ever wanted to do was make a real classic love story." Roman says, "And the studio said they'd let me. I just had to make a scary movie for them first. Now we're shut down, and I am fucked!"
"God, it's not the end of the world, Roman." Jennifer says.
"That is so easy for you to say." Roman counters, "You can always go back to Must See TV. I have no movie, I'm about to turn 30, and it looks like I'm now the next target."
"What?" Rose and Jennifer ask.
"You?" Dewey asks, "Why you?"
"Do you think this wasn't a message?" Roman asks, holding up a broken award he had received in the past.
That's when Detectives Kincaid and Wallace approached them.
"Roman Bridger." Wallace says.
"What?" Roman asks.
"Mr. Bridger, you didn't tell us you spoke with Sarah Darling before she was murdered." Kincaid says.
"Spoke with her when?" Roman asks.
"The guard said she was here for a meeting with you." Kincaid says.
"What meeting?" Roman asks,
"We talked to her roommate, too." Wallace says, "Says you called Sarah, told her to come down to the studio. Roommate answered the phone. Says it was you."
"Wait a minute. I never called her." Roman says, "I never told her to go anywhere."
"Roommate says she knows your voice, Mr. Bridger." Kincaid says
"Well, she wasn't speaking with me. God. Look. I did not call Sarah Darling." Roman protests.
"Sarah Darling said you did." Kincaid counters.
"Someone's trying to ruin my movie." Roman says, "Someone wants to kill my movie."
"Alright, we'll talk about your movie down at the station." Wallace says, "All right. This is the scene where you come with us."
Roman reluctantly stood to go with them. "Look, Dewey, Rose, Jennifer, she wasn't talking with me on the phone." He says before being escorted away.
"Sounds like our old friend is back." Rose says to Dewey, "I wonder if this is what it was like for Sarah back in Woodsboro."
"No idea." Dewey replies, "Have you heard from her at all? Or Sidney?"
Rose shook her head. "Not since she called to tell me she and Sid were hiding years ago. Have they reached out to you?"
"No." Dewey replies. "I just hope they're doing okay."
Back at the house, Sarah was playing with Cherokee while Sidney was working. She didn't pay much attention to Sidney's conversations, but noticed something was off when Sidney suddenly stood, looking anxious.
"Laura, what's wrong?" Sarah asks, using Sidney's fake name just in case the person on the other line could hear them.
"Carrie, could you?" Sidney asked quietly, pointing to the TV.
Sarah nodded and turned in on, where another news report was playing. This one saying that 'Stab 3' was shut down after another murder, this time one of the main cast. Shortly after, Sidney pulled off her headset and reached for the gun she kept hidden in her desk.
"You're not okay. What's going on?" Sarah asks.
"It's the killer." Sidney replies, "He called us. He knows."
"Shit." Sarah swore, "If he knows, we're not safe here. We gotta move."
"Hold on." Sidney says, "Maybe not yet. I heard Dewey and Gale are in L.A. with some detective who's working on this."
"How did you hear?" Sarah asks.
"Dewey told me last time he checked in. and this detective has been wanting to talk to us for quite a while." Sidney explains.
"I guess we're going to L.A." Sarah says, "See some old friends."
