Lisa's PoV:
We both couldn't find the words to start a conversation. I can feel the awkward tension rising and we're literally avoiding each others gaze.
"I.. Uhm.. Uhm-I'm s-sorry Jen. A-are you okay?" I stammer.
Why did I stammer?
I don't know if I'm apologizing to what I did before or because we bumped?
Okay both.
I could definitely feel my face getting pale. Fuck.
When she glance at me, I look down and my right hand quickly rub my eyes. I purposely hide my face with my hand.
Damn you Lisa! You're such an idiot for not being aware of your surroundings. Jennie shouldn't see you with a puffy eyes. Especially not here bastard.
I am mentally rambling now.
"I'm fine. Don't worry." She calmly say and stares again, examining my appearance.
I should tell her honestly why I'm here.
"I visited your-"
"Mommy Jen?" We heard a small voice calling Jennie, her small hand holds the hem of Jennie's denim jacket while breathing heavily. When she notice my presence she immediately run at Jennie's back.
"You're sweaty now honey. And don't be scared." Jennie stroke the little girl's head. "She's an old friend of mine." Jennie say.
She peek to look at me still hiding at Jennie's back. I carefully look at her not wanting to scare her more. I smile slightly to look more friendly. She's Woobin's daughter. She's wearing a pink floral dress. She has a fair skin, brunette long wavy hair and her feline cat-eyes stares back at me. If I wouldn't know Jennie, I would probably think they're mother and daughter.
"Why is your eyes red? Did you cry?" She shyly ask with her small voice.
Then I realized, my blood shot eyes, I quickly look away and I try my best not to sniff although any minute I think a snot will come out of my nose.
I can't utter a word. My mind is not working properly right now.
"Ella, this is Lisa." Jennie somehow interfere. She look at Ella then back at me. "Lisa this is Ella. Uhmm.. Woobin's.." she hesitantly say.
"Yeah. I know.. I mean Jisoo told me yesterday."
Why am I explaining? Act normal Lisa.
"It's nice to meet you Ella." I bends down smiling and nervously offer a handshake. She slowly give her small hand. I thought she wouldn't accept it.
"Nice meeting you." She make a small smile.
"Thank you for visiting them Lis. We're going now." Jennie politely interrupts us. She holds the little girl's shoulder. They were about to walk when she stop, her mouth opens but close again "Bye Lisa."
I look at her "Bye." That's all I can say. I'm left dumbfounded as they walk passed me. I can't help but look back to watch them walk away.
Jennie's feature never fails to make my heart flutter. She is still gorgeous, I know she's attractive since then, but she's even more beautiful now. Her brunette wavy hair perfectly runs down her shoulder. Her navy blue casual dress matching her denim jacket fits perfectly to her fair skin.
I want to run and hug Jennie. I want to tell her I miss her so much. I badly wanted to caress her face and kiss her lips. But then I again, who am I to do that to her? That in the first place, I walked out of her life.
