Lisa's PoV:"Limario!" I may be gone for such a long time, but that voice behind me, I'll never forget who that came from.
"Dad!"
"Jisoo!"
Austin and mom utters a little bit louder at the same time.
(A/N: g!p Jisoo)
I smile broadly before turning to face her. Seeing her dumbfounded face is priceless. She's wearing a police uniform.
"Damn Limario! You're still alive?!" Then she hugs me.
"Jisoo?!" Mom castigates, approaching to hit Jisoo's arm.
"Aw! I'm just messing around Auntie, sorry." Jisoo response, looking at my mom and back to face me "I missed you Lisa, at the same time I want to punch you. We have a lot of things to talk about." she say in a serious tone, then hugs me tightly again.
"Okay, I'll just finish cooking so we all can eat dinner." mom says, leaving the two of us and continue cooking.
"I'll just get my bags to put in my room." I say to them.
"I'll help." Jisoo say and tap my shoulder.
We both left them in the kitchen. While we're walking she speaks again.
"Hey, I took care of your motorbike when you were gone. I hope you don't mind."
"What?" I halt to face her. "Damn, thank you Jisoo." I gratefully response and shock at the same time. "But why?" I hesitantly ask but I'm curious.
"What do you mean why?" she return furrowing her brows.
"I mean.. I don't know. You shouldn't have to." I mumble.
"You know what? I took care of it because I have faith that you'll come back." she nonchalantly say.
"I'm sorry Jisoo." a trembling voice came out of my mouth.
"Save that shit. We gonna need some whiskey so we can have the 'heart-to-heart talk'." she whispers the last part not wanting my mom and her son to hear her.
We chuckled lightly while she received a smack to her stomach from me. Then we headed upstairs.
"You never change Jisoo. Well by the way, who's Austin's mom? And why's your son hanging out with my mom?" I bombarded her. I got inside in my room first while she follows.
"Of course it's Chaeng's." she confidently say, putting my duffel bag on the floor next to where I dropped the other.
"What? Still her? You really ended up together? Wow." I look at her with shock and amuse. "Where is she?" I ask then I sit on my bed while she stands leaning on the wall, arms across to her chest.
"Yeah, we actually parted ways after college, we both agreed. I became a sheriff and she's pursuing her career in med school. But after a year, I realized I can't lose her forever, sounds cheesy man." We both chuckle "Anyhow, so I did everything to win her back again. And now.. she's with.." she hesitantly look at me whether to tell me the truth or not "Jen, helping to run some errands" she pause for a moment then "I thought you'll end up together too." She then avoids my gaze.
My smiles fades like a bubble as I become speechless. I didn't expect that coming.
Or maybe I'm just trying not to.
"By the way, your mom," she immediately change the topic to avoid an awkward ambiance "she likes Austin, no.. she LOVES him. And he LOVES your mom too. He always asks us if he could come and visit his grandma, because you know, Aunt has an amazing talent when it comes to cooking and he LOVES eating just like Chaeng." Jisoo explains exaggerating the 'loves' word.
