The Next Day: School

Sophi's POV: Well, Zach had to leave yesterday and forgot to text. I guess he was busy. Anyways I start school today and I'm a little scared. I don't know anyone... But I guess a new start is good.

*Sophi rides her skateboard to school*

Sophi's thoughts:
So... This place is huge... How do I even find room 205?! I really hope I'm not late on my first day...

Random girl: "Hi!! I've never seen you here before. You're one of the new juniors right?"
Sophi: "Y-yes?"
Girl: "Well hi! I'm Kylie, the student body president. I'm here to show you around."
Sophi: "Well, thank you. Do you know where room 205 is?"
Kylie: "Of course! Here, follow me."
Sophi: "Oh-okay..."
*Get to the classroom*
Sophi: "Wow thank you. I saw all of my other classes on my way."
Kylie: "No problem! If you ever need a fried, just head to the office and ask for me okay? I'm allowed to leave class for any students who need help."
Sophi: "What if I just need a friend?"
Kylie: "In that case, here *takes Sophi's hand and writes her @ for Instagram*. That's my Insta so if you need a friend just DM me"
Sophi: "Thank you so much. See ya later then?"
Kylie: "Sure."

AFTER SCHOOL

*Sophi texts Zach*
Sophi: Hey Zach. Are you guys home today I need friends.
Zach: Only Daniel and Jonah are home. Jack, Corbyn and I went out for some fun😜. You can text Daniel or Jonah and see if they need friends too. I'm sure they will say yes
Sophi: Okay. I'll shoot Daniel a text and see. Thx✌️
Zach: Np cya l8r🤪

*Sophi texts Daniel*
Sophi: Daniel I need a buddy after school. Zach said you a Jonah r home can I come over?
Daniel: Of course. I'll tell Jonah you're coming and we can watch a movie or sum?🤷
Sophi: Sounds like a plan tysm
Daniel: Np I'll cya soon..? Where are you?
Sophi: Oh God I knew you'd ask. I'm heading home from school and my mom started work today, so she won't be home till 8.
Daniel: Oh okay. Well what's your eta?
Sophi: 10 mins? Max 15 mins I'm already on my way
Daniel: How are you driving and texting that dangerous.
Sophi: Daniel I don't have a car 😂 I skate 🛹
Daniel: Ohhhhh haha well the door is open just come in I'll be sitting on the couch as always with Kobe 🐾
Sophi: Okay ✌️

*Sophi's thoughts*
Thank God Daniel let me come over I'm in desperate need of friends around here.

*Gets to the boys house 13 minutes later and walks into the boys house*

Sophi: *yells* Daniel Jonah! I'm here!
Daniel: "Sophi we're right here no need to yell" *laughs*
Sophi: "Just thought I'd say I'm here so I don't see a naked guy walk downstairs sorry for being cautious" *sarcastically*
*Sets backpack and skateboard down and sits on the couch*
Sophi: *let's out a big sigh*
Daniel: "Now I'm not an expert on girls, but most of the time when they sigh heavily something's wrong"
Sophi: "No no it's nothing. I'm fine"
Daniel: "Are you sure?
Sophi: "Yeah... I'm f-fine"
Daniel: "Okay... Well of you need anything let me know okay?"
Sophi: "Okay.. thanks"

*Daniel recieves texts from Zach*
Zach: Daniel is Sophi there
Daniel: Yea why
Zach: Is her phone dead??
Daniel: Yea it's charging what's the rush?
Zach: Well her mom just called me saying she needs to talk to Sophi bc it's rly rly urgent. Give her the phone and have her call her mom plz
Daniel: Okay

Daniel: "Sophi here. *Hands her his phone* call your mother it's urgent
Sophi: "Huh?"
Daniel: "Just do it please don't ask I know nothing"
Sophi: "Okay?" *Takes Daniels phone, punches in her mom's number, and calls*

*In the call*
Sophi: mom?? What's wrong??
Mom: Something's happened I need you to stay the night at th boys house tonight. I can't tell you why but it's life or death. I've already contacted Zach and he said it was alright if you stayed.
Sophi: Mom w-wha?? What's happening!? *Begins to freak out and runs to the kitchen*
Daniel: "What's going on?"
*Sophi swipes her hand in front of him*
Mom: Just trust me please honey
Sophi: Okay... Mom I'm scared please
Mom: Don't worry it'll all be okay. Give the phone to Daniel please I want to talk to him
Sophi: Oh-okay
*Hands Daniel the phone*
Daniel: Hello?
Mom: Daniel listen... I've talked to Zach and he said Sophi was able to stay the night?
Daniel: Uh yeah that's fine. What's up?
Mom: I can't explain right now but can you please be a sweetie and take her over to get some of her things?
Daniel: Yeah absolutely.
Mom: Thank you so much.
*Jonah walks over*
Jonah: "Daniel what's going on"
Daniel: "Ssshhh"
*Jonah walk away*
Daniel: I'll take Sophi over right now. Do you want Sophi to call you tonight?
Mom: No... Not tonight. Can you hand her the phone again please?
Daniel: Of course *hands Sophi the phone*
Sophi: Mom?!
Mom: Sophi, do what Zach and Daniel say. They have specific instructions for your care. Don't worry. I got this. I love you
Sophi: Wha- Mom!!
Mom: I have to go now... I love you be strong *hangs up*
*Sophi lowers the phone slowly*
Daniel: "Sophi I"
*Sophi cute him off by putting her hand up*
*Hands Daniel his phone*
Sophi: "Just... Not now Daniel... I just um... Need some time"
Daniel: "Yeah I get it. But we have to go get some of your things from your house asap... Your mom said so."
Sophi: "Oh... Okay. Um, I'm gonna use the bathroom real fast and I'll be back."
*Walks to the bathroom and begins bawling*

Daniels thoughts:
Wow... I hope she's okay. That was really intense. But I hear her in the bathroom so I'm gonna go see if she's alright
