The news of what had happened to Gabby's father shocked the entire firehouse. Hannah had never met the man but growing up without a father and hearing of how close Gabby and her father are really made her cherish the relationship she had built with Captain Herrera back in Seattle. She would have been an emotional wreck if something similar had happened to him.
"Dawson is coming in for shift today." Sylvie mentioned to the girls as they were getting ready in the locker room "Says she needs the distraction."
"Psh, I don't blame her," Stella said from the bench as she tied her shoelaces.
"I'd just want to get back to normal as soon as possible. Staying away from work and friends after traumas like that is actually very dangerous" Hannah pointed out "can you lead you to do all types of stupid things"
"I'm sorry about the other day." Sylvie confessed as she closed her locker "I'm sorry for bringing Hope here in the first place."
"What happened is on her, not you." Stella assured the blonde who had apologized a thousand times already.
Hannah was in the middle of rolling deodorant on her underarms with nothing covering her upper body but her bra when Kelly emerged from between the lockers "You left pretty early." he said as he looked at Stella.
"I had stuff to do. I have a life, the gym... Stuff." Stella listed as Kelly nodded at her and looked to Hannah who was quickly trying to pull her shirt on. He just nodded again before leaving the locker area.
"What was that?" Sylvie asked Stella.
"What?"
"Just the way you were talking to him." Sylvie explained "The awkward thing."
"It's awkward?" Stella worried.
Hannah rolled her eyes and let out a small laugh "It was pretty awkward Stel"
"Fine, I kissed him." the brunette confessed, shocking the other two women.
"What?!" Hannah gasped.
"Don't yell at me." Stella begged.
"We're not yelling." Sylvie assured her as Hannah moved to sit on the beside Stella.
"It happened the other night when I was hammered" she elaborated "and I've been trying to avoid him ever since"
"Which cant be easy when you live together" Hannah guessed.
"And now he probably thinks that I still have a thing for him. Even though I don't. I was just very drunk" Stella confessed "You saw me, Hannah, I was absolutely hammered"
"Antonio was at the hospital." Sylvie told them "It was really nice to see him, I'm just not sure if..."
"Do not kiss him." Stella advised as she stood and locked her locker "You will deeply, deeply regret it." Hannah was in the middle of tying her hair up when Stella grabbed her arm and motioned for her leave the locker room with her. "Come on, let's get this one her coffee."
