"What kind of hero can't keep himself together?" I asked myself, tears slipping down my face. "I should quit... Become a shop attendant or something."

It was dark, and I still hadn't gone home, so I knew I'd be in deep shit when I did go home...

If I went home.

I wandered past UA, not entirely sure where I was going, I just didn't want to be at home. I found myself on a bridge, overlooking a river. I looked down at the dark waters that softly reflected the moonlight.

Someone skidded past me, I watched the bulky man stand upright, then burst into a ball of light. I shielded my eyes quickly, stepping back in shock. I could hear movements, two people, maybe? something slammed into me, and I fell off the edge, my scream drowned out by the light man's roar.

This is it, I'm finally going to die.

I felt multiple thin wires wrapping around me, stopping me from falling, but cutting into my soft flesh painfully. They pulled me up slowly. they let go of me the second I was on the safety of the bridge. The light ball guy was being arrested. I looked around for the hero that had... "saved" me.

L/N was perched on the railing of the bridge like a Gollum, her E/C eyes shining from the moonlight. "What are you doing out this late? It's dangerous, you could get hurt."

She doesn't really care.

"What are you doing out here this late?" I asked stubbornly.

She rolled her eyes. "Hero work."

"You don't have your hero license though..." I said.

She frowned at me, and I could see the pity in her eyes. I looked away from her.

"You kids should be getting home," Best Jeanist said, coming to stand by us. "L/N, I'll be informing Nezu about tonight, be glad I'm not informing the police."

"You're doing so much for me, thank you! I'll escort this fine gentleman home!" L/N said with a smirk, bowing to Best Jeanist and grabbing my wrist.

I gasped quietly, ⚠️pain shooting up my arm.
"Please let go," I said, my voice shaking. Her grasp was really hurting my arm.

"First tell me what you're doing out so late, and why you were on the bridge."

I shivered from the cold. "I was taking a walk." Judging by the look she gave me, she didn't believe me. "I'm being honest, L/N, I just wanted some fresh air! What where you doing on the bridge with that light guy?"

She watched me, then dropped my arm, making me sigh in relief. "I was... Doing what I said I was doing before. I told you."

"But what did you say you were doing earlier?" I was really suspicious. She was out late and with a criminal?

"You should get home, Kaminari. See you tomorrow." She smiled at me, making my head feel weird.

What is wrong with me?

She disappeared, just like that. Where did she go? I sighed and started the long walk home, praying my parents would be asleep by the time I got there.
