Pairing: Yamaguchi Tadashi x Fem! Reader

~~~
I lay on my back outside, the cold air of the night nipping at my face as the rough tiles of my house roof scratched my bare arms slightly. I let out a soft sigh and watched my breath float and swirl into the sky with a smile as I looked at the night sky, littered with stars.
"Everything ok, babe? Are you cold?" I heard my boyfriend ask, making me laugh a little.
"Nah, I'm ok, Tadashi." I dismissed, Turing my head to look at the boy laying next to me. "Just thinking about stuff."
"What stuff?" He pushed, smiling at me as he took my hand in his own. Contrasting from the cold air, his hand was very warm, making me smile.
"Mm... Future stuff." I replied, grinning at him. "Say, what do you wanna do after we leave school?" I ask out of curiosity, this not having been a topic to come up in conversation before. We both sat up and I moved close enough to my boyfriend to lay my head on his shoulder.
"Other than still being with you, play volleyball as a profession, I guess." We both laughed softly at his suggestion. "What about you, princess?" He asked, letting go of my hand and moving it to stroke my hair softly.
"Study astronomy and become an astronomer." I stated plainly, closing my eyes for a moment at the thought of being able to do my dream job. "I'm not sure why, but I've always been interested in the stars and planets. I guess it's the thought of finding out what's outside of our own solar system or galaxy, ya know?" I reasoned, still staring intently at the sky as I felt Tadashi run his hands through my hair. I could also been his body heat and heart beat in his chest, comforting me to no end.
I really was deep in love with him.
I heard Yamaguchi let out a shaky sigh and looked up at him.
"(Name), I have something I want to give you..." He said slowly, as if trying to choose the right words to say.
"Everything ok, baby?" I asked, slightly concerned. He stood up, causing me to worry about of he slips off of the roof. We're supposed to just be talking in my room, but I decided that we should do a bit of star gazing from the roof of my home.
"I've wanted to give this to you for a while, but I just haven't felt brave enough to, I guess..." Again, he sounded like he had to pick each word as carefully as possible. Without a word, he dropped to one knee and I panicked slightly. Yes, I loved him; Yes, I wanted to marry him some day; but we're still kids! High school first years, no less! What would my family think!? I gasped and, before I could find the words in my throat, Tadashi explained.
"This isn't a marriage proposal. I found something called a promise ring and researched it. As opposed to marrying you now, this is my promise that I'll always love you and one say will propose." He said, this time being quick to explain what it was. I slowly let out a breath I was holding and smiled at my beloved boyfriend.
