It wasn't uncommon for this to happen. You would be sat comfortably on your shared bed playing some online game while your lover, Asahi, would watch or play on his phone. This happened near enough every night and it was just nice to be together.

Tonight, however, Azumane felt needy. He couldn't really explain it other than he felt as though you prioritised your game or friends over him. So, he sat next to you and stared at your hands for a while. Even after dating since middle school, he still didn't feel brave enough to make the first move. He mostly left that to you.

So, he slowly inched his hand towards yours and held it for a moment against the controller. You looked up at him in confusion and he jerked his hand away, muttering an apology as he pouted slightly. With a light sigh and a chuckle, you spoke into your head set again.

"(Friend Name), I gotta go." Asahi heard muttering on the other end as he stared at you in shock. "I've got something more important to do. I'll talk to you tomorrow." And with that, you shut off the console.

"(N-name)?" He said in confusion as you got up to put away the controler and headpones. When you turned around, you gave him a sympathetic-looking smile and crawled back into bed.

"I'm sorry, baby." You stated, hugging him tightly and burying your face in his neck. You felt him tense slightly under your touch before he hugged back and buried his face in your hair.

"D-don't be..." Asahi dismissed, his voice barely audible as his voice was muffled by your hair.

"If you wanted cuddles or attention, just say. You know I'd drop anything if you wanted something. You're much more important than that stupid game." You assured, giggling at the last sentence as your boyfriend laughed with you.

You moved to lay on your back and have Azumane's head on your chest, allowing you to play with his long brown hair and place soft kisses to his forehead.

You both sat there in a comfortable silence for a few hours and, only when you needed to get a drink, did you realize that your kisses and your hands being tangled in his hair had lulled him to sleep. Smiling fondly, you left one last kiss on his fore head before you began dozing off.

"I love you, Asahi... To the moon and back."
