Chapter 1: Backstory

I remember it like it was yesterday.....

~Flashback~
"(Y/N)! Now!" Your partner yelled jumping into your hands. "Soul Resedence!" He then turns onto a big ass sword. "You will never defeat me!" Medusa laughed. You were almost certain you would win the battle. Medusa charged at you really fast. You closed your eyes swinging the sword also waiting to accept fate, but it didn't come. You open your eyes and see your partner in front of you slashed in half. "No. Nooo!" You cry kneeling down at your dieing partner. "(Y-Y/N)" he said putting his hand on your cheek. "Ghost..... Please don't die on me now!" You sobbed followed by him coughing up blood. You saw a kid with blue hair yelling, "Medusa the Bitch! Die now!"

And that's all you remember. "Why....." you whisper looking out your window. "Why did you have to die Ghost." You walk to your closet and see a picture of him. You smile and grab the picture letting a tear slip down your cheek.

You noticed your were crying a little bit. "No. I promised."

~Flashback~
Me and Ghost were running down a path to a park. Just us as little 7 year-olds. "There it is! The park!" Yelled the little Ghost. We laughed and ran towards it. After a long time of playing and swinging, we sat in the bench.
"(Y/N). Can I ask you something?" He asked. "Yes Ghost?" I answers smiling my little kid smile. "Promise me you would never cry if I die before you." He said sounding more serious. "I promise!" I pledge putting my hand over my heart.

You kept crying harder and harder. "Why!? Why did you have to die!?" You cry out crying on a pillow. Your friend Amanda opened the door slightly. "(Y/N)? Are you okay?"

"I-I miss him s-so much!" You suddenly get showered by millions of hugs. "A-Amanda?" You whimper. "Shh. Shh. It's okay. Wanna go out to eat?" She says petting your head. Amanda wasn't a miester. She was just an ordinary human.

You both walk out of your apartment going to some random restaurant. "Where do you wanna go?" She asked you. "Can we go to (Your favorite restaurant)?" You ask.

Amanda sighs and you cheer ask you get there. You order (your favorite food from there) while Amanda orders (Another food there). You drove home and ate watching your favorite show.

"Hey (Y/N). I'm going now. Night!" Amanda said smiling. You waved one hand not taking your eyes off the t.v. "Okay. Night." You said obviously not caring about anything else but the t.v. show. Forgetting EVERYTHING.

After (your favorite show) was over it was already 3:00 in the morning! "Well I guess there was a marathon and I didn't notice." You say to yourself feeling quite ashamed. You grab a quick snack, brush your teeth and head to bed.

Sorry for the short chapter. This is a new book I am making.
