Su Ni caught up with the two outside the building, and panted before speaking "Umm...thank you for taking my side today. Sorry Hoseok *Sunbae. I feel terrible for my actions"
*Way of addressing a senior
"Don't mind" Hobi smiled softly.
"Why were you so considerate towards me after what I've done?" She asked Tae.
"You see, even I was fired many times in the past. I know what it feels like, 'cause I was also fired because of my reckless actions. If certain people forgave me at the right time, I would've been in a better position, a better person.
"If you get fired, you'd only hate us all for the rest of your life, which will stop you from moving on. It's not easy to start all the way from the beginning again, right?"
Su Ni glanced away for a second to process his words, and looked back.
"Thank you again, both of you"
She handed over Tae's watch. "Here. I didn't mean to steal it. I just wondered why someone rich enough to afford such a watch was riding in a bus"
After a quick laughter, Tae said "I bought it years ago. Keep it if you want, or throw it away yourself. I left it because I didn't want it anymore"
"Oh! I'd love to keep it! Although it's broken. I always wanted a watch of that brand" she said cheerfully, and headed back to work.
At home
Tae worked on the script till midnight, and dozed off on the papers itself.
"Leave the house!" Tae's father shouts on his elder son
"Fine! Even I'm sick of your comparison and torture every day. I'll be happy to get out of this house that has no place for me!" The son walks out of the house
"Brother wait! Don't leave" Tae begs.
"I think we have to move on, Tae" says In Ha
Tae's mother faints on the floor after screaming in pain
Tae opened his eyes with a jerk and clasped his head. 'When will I ever get used to this? These nightmares have become like a disease'
He walked out of the room to check upon his dad who was still asleep. 'Maybe I should be glad that he is breathing at least. It's not really his fault for having become like this' he felt sorry.
**
It was 7:30 in the morning when he left the house, dressed in jeans and white linen shirt that hinted his fair skin underneath.
The bus was empty early in the morning. Tae always liked it when he was the only passenger.
To reconfirm the address, he went through the text he received the day before
'Hi Tae! In Ha here. I found a flat in Dongdaemun. Can you please help me in shifting?'
'Good to know. Sure; I can help'
'Thanks!! Free tomorrow morning at 8?'
'Yeah'
'(texts her address)'
"You sure you wanna help her?" Hobi asked after peeking at the messages.
"Not really. But she is divorced and has no one in this town for help . Maybe a little help from my side would do no wrong. I have to finish the script tonight so that I can go tomorrow."
