"Why do you think I was the one?" Tae asked as he walked to the wooden platform.
Jin crossed his fingers before replying. "First, because Mr. Cha supported Chan Woo when he was suspected the first time, but didn't support when he was accused today. It shows that he totally trusts Chan Woo and at the same time doesn't want the blame to fall upon himself either. So your theory of him trying to shift the blame on Chan Woo doesn't work"
"Who knows...maybe Mr. Cha wants us to think that way and that's why pretended it all?" Tae debated.
"Being controversial, aren't you?" Jin smirked.
Tae shrugged. "Coffee?" he asked
"Exactly what I want"
Tae poured the milk from a flask, and added coffee and sugar powder. He stirred it and handed the cup to Tae Jun. Then he sat on the bed and leaned forward, facing his brother.
"I don't mean the drink, but your controversy. Exactly what I aimed to get out from you. Thanks for the coffee by the way"
He continued "You just ascertained the second point that I'm about to state."
Tae tried to conceal his confusion.
"You were right. You're still my brother. And I know you better than anyone. I know it when you lie."
Tae rolled his eyes.
"Do you remember we used to watch a detective show when we were kids? You hated that hero because he suspected people without conclusive evidence. You believed that accusing innocent people without proper evidence was not right on a detective's part. He can be suspicious of them, but not accuse them.
But what you did to Mr. Cha today, wasn't it the same?"
Tae glanced down.
"That's what led me to suspect you. It's like you were blaming him intentionally"
After a gap, Tae spoke "Then you should know when I don't lie as well. You should know that i didn't lie when I told you that mom herself stopped us from informing you about her illness"
Jin shifted his gaze to his drink, and took a sip. "So, why did you amend the script?"
**
Mr. Cha grabbed Chan Woo's collar as he entered his room. "You bastard! Because of you everyone is suspecting ME now!"
Chan woo struggled. "I honestly did not change the script. Aren't you the one who should trust me the most?"
"I did trust you! And look where it got me now! Who else would've done it if not you! Usually I'd suspect Kim Taehyung. But he was the one who wrote the script. Obviously he wouldn't mishandle it. So that leaves only you!"
Chan Woo pulled away from his grip. "You use me when you want and now throw me away like trash? You f*****"
Mr. Cha slapped him. "Is that how you talk to your senior?"
Chan Woo shoved his chest, which made his head hit the wall.
Mr. Cha held the back of his head "You son of a ***!" he punched Chan Woo.
Chan Woo raised his arm to fight back.
"Room service" a waiter's voice interfered from outside.
Chan Woo glowered at Cha. "You're saved" he said and stomped out of the room, letting the waiter in.
