Two hours later, the train halted at Gyeongsangnam-do.
It was 2 pm.The film crew took a bus to a hotel near Sobaek Mountains. Main staff already arrived there in the morning. The art director and other members involved in designing of the set arrived a week prior.
At the hotel
Hobi and Tae shared a room. They dumped their bags on the bed and glanced at the huge screen of the TV. "Whoa!"
"I hope we actually get some free time to watch TV" Hobi said in an unsettling tone, being more excited to check out the view from their room. Tae felt the softness of the rug under his bare feet as he removed his footwear while sitting on the bed.
Hobi rushed to the sit-out. "The air itself is so different here, carrying the faint scent of grass. It actually feels quite addicting. I was never as conscious of my breath as I am now" he said, dazzled by the mountainous scenery.
"If I lived here, I'd write forever" Tae joined him, keeping hands in his pockets.
"Haha"
"Shall we grab something to eat? I'm hungry as hell"
Hobi agreed to the same. Before they could even move, Su Ni knocked on their door .
"Hey, Mr. Park just informed that we are supposed to assemble at the entrance. We are heading to the shooting spot right now it seems" she addressed to the both, but looked only at Tae.
"What? We're starting right away?"
She nodded with a frown.
A bus arrived to pick up the members. The main staff left in cars.
When the engine started, Tae noticed a familiar face near the hotel. Before he could properly scan the person, their bus departed.
**
The shooting location was quite far from the hotel, deep into the forest. The way along the mountains was bumpy and rough. All the more, under the scorching sun the journey seemed longer than ever. Their bus halted at a spot amidst the mountains. It barely had trees on land.
Sitting in the bus, Tae shifted his gaze from mountain peaks to the surface, and was amazed at the set-up. He spotted tents, army training equipment and military vehicles including helicopter.
"Is everyone here?" Director Bo reconfirmed when everyone gathered around him.
Tae smiled at So Ra when their eyes met. She smiled back hesitantly.
"We have two weeks and we shall not waste a day. We'll continue filming even during some of the nights" Director Bo announced "We must cover various locations. And this is where few of the Southern army shall reside" he gestured at the very place where everyone stood.
"One of the days at the hotel I have an appointment with the music composer hired for this movie. Only on that day you can go for sight-seeing, although I'd expect the actors to stay and rehearse."
"We shall now film one of the training sessions of the recruits. Jin, I hope you're ready?"
"Yes"
Jin was dressed in a camouflage trouser and a jacket like the other actors. So Ra also had a camouflage trouser on with a black T-shirt, being the trainer.
The actors took their positions.
After the first two takes, Tae changed a dialogue, which resulted in a third take.
