"I'll be coming home early today" Tae texted his dad while climbing the stairs. As he neared the terrace, the daylight shone brightly, piercing into the stairway. He halted before few steps when he heard the voice of Mr. Cha. He tucked his phone inside the pocket and stood still on his spot.
"What about Ki Jung? Did he accept our deal?" Mr. Cha asked Chan Woo - the assistant director.
"Yes. But he wants to pay the amount after he gets his first role" Chan Woo replied.
'Deal? What do they mean? And who is Ki Jung?' Tae wondered.
"Ok. I'll transfer your share to your account soon. And let's not meet inside the company so frequently"
Tae wondered if they sensed him, and immediately ran downstairs on his toes, trying not to make the sound of footsteps.
He arrived to the fifth floor and bumped into In Ha in the hallway.
"In Ha? What are you doing here?"
"Hey, Tae, I am here to interview the main crew for receiving updates on Persona"
"Oh. Yeah, earlier also you used to come here when you worked for the Korean Times, right?"
"Yes. So...you met your brother?"
Tae glanced away and nodded. "Is he inside?"
"Yes, he was talking to the director about the new film."
"By the way, why didn't they mention about you during the interview? You played a major role in the making of this film, right?"
"They're not allowing me inside the set only. Forget sharing credits with me"
"Huh?"
"It's probably my brother's doing. He's being very vengeful"
"By the way, do you know who is Ki Jung?" Tae asked.
"No. What about him?"
So Ra suddenly greeted Tae from behind.
Tae greeted back. In Ha gave a slight bow to So Ra and eyed them suspiciously while smiling. "See you, Tae" she said, and left them alone.
Tae looked around panickingly . "You're not supposed to meet me so casually inside the building" he whispered worriedly.
"That's alright, Taehyung. Don't mind the others"
"Hmm...Ok. Here is the script." He pulled out a paper from his pocket "I finished it a little yesterday night"
"Thanks!"
"Actually I'm coming from tomorrow. I'll be practicing my dialogues at my home for the next few days. If you don't mind, in the meanwhile, can assist me during the practice? You know, like explaining the scenes and all. Director Bo is already loaded with enough work as the shooting is starting next week. I'd really appreciate your help"
"Sure. But where shall we meet?"
"My place" she answered quickly.
Tae held his breath, unable to respond.
The following evening at So Ra's house
*Ding Dong*
Tae greeted as So Ra opened the door. He quickly scanned her. She was dressed in a yellow white-striped jumpsuit which was half hidden by an off-white shrug.
After she invited him in, he took slow steps behind her, surveying the hall which was quite huge. She gestured him to take a seat on the beige sofa that matched with the rug.
