Chapter 8: Untold news

Su Ni hurried towards Hobi who was still in the set. "Sunbae Iisten. I-"

"Why didn't you come to the shooting today?" Hobi cut in. "Mr. Bo is so angry on you. We could manage thanks to Juno. He agreed to take your place when I called him up. Or else we'd have run short of cameramen" 

"I'm so sorry about that. But that's not important now. You gotta hear this"

Hobi cocked his brow, expecting her to proceed.

"You know my cousin Yumi who auditioned for acting and got rejected? Today I crossed paths with her on my way here. I enquired her about actress Ha Rin who auditioned two years ago on the same day as her. She said Ha Rin was actually rejected"

"What!" 

"Yeah. Isn't it strange how she became an actress despite that?"

"Yeah...do you think Mr. Cha is involved in this?"

"Maybe. I spoke to Yumi about this matter. She gave more info, whatever she knows from her connects in this industry. That's why I got delayed" 

"I see. We better tell Tae about this."

"Yeah. Where is he?"

"Not sure. He disappeared with So Ra after the shooting"

At the rooftop

"If you like me for my poetry, call yourself a fan. Not my lover, So Ra" Tae replied after her confession.

"How do you know that-?"

"That you are my fan?"

She blinked. 

"One of the days during our meetup, I was exploring your bookshelf and found my poetry book that I published six years ago. Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Because when I first saw you, I wanted to know what kind of person you were in reality. I could talk to you casually only because you didn't know that i am your fan. 

I thought to reveal soon. But even before i realised, I was in love with you. And i knew that if I revealed that I was a fan, you'd assume that i fell for you only because of your poetry. But I want you to know that I didn't love you for a sole purpose, Tae"

"I don't know when did it start. All i know, and want you to know, is that your past doesn't matter to me. I fell for you for who you are now. I don't know if you feel the same about me, but I am happy that I could finally confess my feelings to you"

Tae stepped closer, and hugged her. "I too feel the same about you, So Ra.
I always did"

Before she could smile in relief, Jae showed up. They pulled back when they noticed him. He walked to Tae and held his collar "How dare! You bastard!"

"Jae let him go!" So Ra yelled. He shoved Tae, and left after warning "Know your place!"

Tae thought for a moment, and said "He's right, So Ra. You're too much for me. In fact, I didn't propose to you all these days, thinking that we are not right for each other. My position, lifestyle and family condition may underwhelm you. You deserve someone better. I'm sorry, So Ra" he turned away to leave. 

"No, Tae!" she pleaded.

"Please understand, it's for your own good" he said, and walked away.

Tae and Hobi walked to the bus stop together. Hobi conveyed him what Su Ni told.

"From whatever we investigated so far, I'm sure Mr. Cha is definitely involved in this" Tae replied after hearing him out.
