After two days of only exchanging good morning and goodnight texts, you finally made plans to meet with Yoongi early tomorrow at a small café that the two of you used to secretly frequent together. But now, as you currently laid in bed staring at the ceiling, your heavy thoughts outweighed your tired, heavy eyes. You had tried every trick in the book to fall asleep, yet nothing could prevent your mind from wandering back to Yoongi.

You were fairly certain that you weren't ready to break up with him, but you also worried that you were just postponing the inevitable. Although you had no doubt that the two of you loved each other, love doesn't necessarily mean a relationship is healthy. Wednesday's argument made you think back to other fights you had had with your boyfriend. None had been as hurtful, but the amount of times he had taken his stress out on you was unreasonable. Used to you would forgive and forget since his attitude and comments never felt too personal and you wanted to be an understanding girlfriend, but you were now concerned that this habit would escalate into something more toxic and Wednesday wouldn't be an isolated incident.

If things were going to work out in the long run, simple apologies and excuses wouldn't be enough. Both of you had some things you needed to work on. Yoongi needed to learn how to cope with stress without lashing out at the people closest to him and you needed to learn how to be more secure in yourself and your relationship so that strangers on the internet wouldn't have the power to affect your day and the time you spend with your boyfriend.

As you were thinking about how you were going to articulate these thoughts to Yoongi, your phone lit up on the nightstand beside you. 'Are you still up?' A text from the man in question read.

You frowned, worried about why he would be texting you after midnight when you were supposed to be meeting in less than seven hours. 'Yeah, is everything okay?' You quickly replied.

Immediately after you hit send, a knock came from your front door, making you jump in surprise. You remained still for a few seconds, waiting for your rapid heartbeat to slow. Reassuring yourself that the unexpected guest was most likely Yoongi and not an axe murderer, you gathered the courage to slide out of bed and walk into your small foyer, holding your cell phone close so that you could call the police if need be. With caution, you leaned closer to the front door and looked through the peephole, releasing the breath you had been holding when you saw Yoongi standing on the other side staring at his sneakers.

You opened the door, his name automatically falling from your lips with a mix of concern and surprise. "Yoongi?"

His head snapped up, revealing his red, tired eyes that were framed by dark circles. Your heart clenched painfully when they met yours. "Can we talk?" He asked, his voice quiet and raspy, as if he hadn't used it in a while.

"Isn't that what we're meeting to do in a few hours?" You weren't trying to be a smarta**; you were just genuinely confused by him randomly showing up at a time like this.

"I know." Yoongi looked away awkwardly and nodded, his lips pursed in a thoughtful, yet wary pout. "It's just...I don't think I can wait that long..."

Part of you wondered if you should say no just to prove to him that you aren't the pushover he believed you to be, but that wasn't what you truly wanted to do, especially not after his pleading eyes met yours again, nervously awaiting an answer. "Let's talk." You mumbled, opening the front door wider.

Once Yoongi stepped inside and slid out of his shoes, you led him to the living room where he sat down on the couch in the same spot he always found himself when the two of you watched movies together. "Do you need anything to drink?" You asked, hovering on the outskirts of the room.
