You weren't sure why you even bothered coming anymore. Whenever his band wasn't too busy, your older brother, Jimin, frequently invited you over for supposed game nights that never actually played out. You couldn't even complete a round of Clue without someone (usually Jimin himself) hitting the brakes and suggesting a drinking game instead. As the story always goes, your sober butt would end up having to babysit anywhere from three to seven drunk K-Pop idols depending on who was in the dorm that evening.
Tonight, you were a surrogate noona to Jimin, Jin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, despite being younger than all of them, save for the maknae who only technically had a couple months on you. Unfortunately, Namjoon, who was usually the most helpful, was in the recording studio for the evening with Hoseok and Yoongi.
"I really resent this." You glared at your drunk older brother who had reached across the coffee table to pinch your cheeks.
He pouted, tilting his head left and right before breaking out into a huge grin. "You love your oppa."
"Yeah, sure." You rolled your eyes, forcibly removing his hands from your face. "I'm gonna go."
You began to stand from your spot on the floor, but Jimin grabbed your hand and started swinging it back and forth. "Noooo," he whined. "Staaaay."
"That's very persuasive, Jimin." Jin teased from the corner of the couch.
"No. I have better things to do on a Friday night." You stated bluntly, focused on your annoying brother.
"Like what?" He giggled. "Writing a paper?"
"Precisely." You sighed, remembering the twelve-page research paper that was due next week.
"Class work can wait. You know I'm leaving for tour next month. Don't you want to see your oppa as much as possible before then?" The twenty-four-year-old child looked up at you with the most dramatic puppy dog eyes you'd ever seen.
"Yeah, Y/N. After we leave, it could be months before you see us again." Taehyung interjected.
You paused, weighing the pros and cons. You loved your brother and knew he invited you over so often because he had a tendency to get homesick, as did you now that you were attending a university in Seoul. The two of you have always been close and it was nice that you at least had each other in the big city, but drunk Jimin was...a lot. Having to prevent the mayhem that may or may not ensue was a major con, especially if Taehyung finished the third beer he was now sipping.
On the other hand, a pro of staying would be not having to feel guilty about ditching your brother, which you surely wouldn't hear the end of a week. Not to mention the minor bonus of getting to be around the guy you liked, Jungkook, even if he would barely acknowledge your presence.
"Fine." You relented. "But I want you all to know that you're evil, mean, manipulative, alcoholic oppas."
Jimin dropped your hand to break out in applause. "Yay!" He cheered and the other two joined.
"These kids..." you mumbled under your breath, sitting back down on the ground across from him.
"The snacks are ready." Jungkook announced, returning from the kitchen with a tray of squid and peanuts.
