Hesitantly, you knocked on Big Hit's main dance studio door. Normally you were thrilled to see your boyfriend any chance you could get, but not today. After three days of silence on his end, you were nervous to see how he would respond to your surprise visit. Something was obviously wrong, but you hadn't a clue what since he wouldn't answer any of your calls or texts.

"Hey, Y/N." One of the managers greeted you, unfazed by your sudden presence since you brought lunch to the boys fairly often. "You can come on in." He said, opening the door wider.

"They haven't eaten yet, have they?" You asked, glancing at the clock across the room.

"No, you're right on time. They should be taking their break in a few minutes."

"Great." You forced a polite smile, trying to hide your nerves as you took a seat against the wall and watched the idols practice.

Usually by now, Taehyung would already be making silly faces in your direction, but that wasn't the case today. While some of the members briefly turned to you and waved whenever the choreographer wasn't looking, it was as though your boyfriend was going out of his way to not acknowledge you. This only worked to  amplify the bad feeling you've had in your stomach for a few days now. But still, you tried to act normal when the boys were finally dismissed for a break.

"Y/N!" Hoseok enthusiastically rushed towards you with all the other members, save for one, following close behind.

"Hey! You guys looked great over there doing that...dancey stuff." You complimented.

"Thanks, Y/N. That means a lot coming from an esteemed scholar of dance such as yourself." Jungkook smirked.

You laughed half-heartedly, too focused on your sulking boyfriend who was hovering behind the group. Typically, you were fairly good at playing along with Jungkook's banter, but you weren't feeling as quick-witted now that your thoughts were mostly preoccupied with Taehyung and the irritated look in his eyes. "I guess my dance vocabulary is lacking a bit, isn't it? I'll see if maybe someone from Red Velvet can bring you your lunch next time."

"That'd be great." Jungkook grinned, reaching forward to take the heavy bags of carryout food from you.

You playfully rolled your eyes. Part of you was tempted to keep stalling in order to avoid confronting your boyfriend, but that's what you were here for and you would inevitably have to face him at some point or another. Might as well get it over with.

"It's mainly noodles this time." You announced, turning your attention back to the food. "You guys can fight amongst yourselves about who gets what."

"Oh!" You exclaimed, almost forgetting the most important part. "Except for this top one, it's Taehyung's." You added, leaning forward and grabbing the top Styrofoam box from one of the bags the maknae was holding.

"Why? Was that one made with a whole lot of love?" Seokjin teased.

"Aww." Jimin sighed affectionately.

Normally those kinds of comments wouldn't fluster you, but with the apparent tension between you and Taehyung right now, your mouth merely opened and closed, unsure of how to respond. Fortunately, ready to cut to the chase, Yoongi saved you from anymore awkwardness. "Thanks for the food, Y/N. I'm starving." He mumbled, snatching one of the bags from Jungkook and grabbing the first thing he saw.

The others followed his lead, surrounding the maknae and leaving you on the sidelines with Taehyung, whose posture and cold eyes warned you to not come any closer. You didn't listen though, because as scared as you were to hear about why he was visibly annoyed by your presence, it would be even scarier to keep wondering.

"I brought your favorite." You said in a nervous singsong voice, tentatively approaching him and holding out the container of noodles.

He immediately turned his head away from you and readjusted his tightly crossed arms. Your brows furrowed. Though he had been ignoring you over the phone and was acting distant when you arrived, you hadn't expected him to go so far as to not even speak to you when you tried talking to him in person. The immaturity of it provoked a pang of frustration, but you refused to let yourself get upset yet.

"Tae." You spoke softly, poking his arm with the box in an attempt to get his attention.

He still wouldn't look at you. "Taehyung." You repeated, but firmer this time. "What's going on? Did I do something wrong?"

His lack of response for a third time made it impossible to suppress your irritation. "Seriously? Are you just going to pretend I don't exist?"

You had anticipated not seeing the most loving side of your boyfriend today, but you never could have anticipated this. It was like you were talking to a stone wall. "Wow, okay, Tae." You nodded bitterly. "You know, I asked my boss for an extra unpaid hour for lunch just so I could drive across town and get you your favorite meal. Could you at least accept it?"

Taehyung's jaw clenched and he remained motionless for a few more seconds before begrudgingly snatching the container from your hands. When you opened your mouth to speak, he immediately turned around and walked all the way across the room to sit in a corner alone.

You scoffed, eyes following him in bewilderment. Your boyfriend was a grown man, but he was behaving like a child. Perhaps you would have felt more sympathy if you knew what he was upset about, but you weren't a mind reader, and as hard as you tried, you couldn't think of anything you've said or done recently that would anger him like this. All you knew was that it started three days ago after the concert he invited you and your best friend to. At the time, you wrote off his uncharacteristically distant behavior as him just being tired, but clearly it was something more.

"Don't worry about him." Namjoon commented, walking up behind you and taking a swig of water. "He's been like this for a couple days now."

"Do you know why?" You asked, sounding more desperate than you cared to admit.

He shook his head and shrugged. "Maybe stress? I really don't know, but he keeps lashing out at me over the littlest things. It's like I can't do anything right."

"He won't even talk to me." You frowned, your gaze returning to Taehyung who you surprisingly found staring, or more so glaring, back at you. It was the first time he made eye contact with you today, but he held it for no longer than a second before looking away. "Heck, he'll hardly look at me."

"I wouldn't take it personally." Namjoon said, giving you a reassuring pat on the back. "I bet it really is just the stress."

"Possibly." You nodded, even though deep down you disagreed.

Namjoon sensed the skepticism in your voice. "Everything will be fine. It just seems like he could use a little space today, so come on, eat over here with us." The leader instructed, draping an arm across your shoulder and guiding you to where all the other members were eating.

Hesitantly, you followed, briefly glancing over your shoulder one last time to lock eyes with Taehyung's heated glare.
