January 18, 2026. It's the day after Alex turned 17. It was 7 am, Alex woke up, put on his last set of clean clothes and headed out. He started to make his way down to the recruitment tent to finally enlist in the army. On his way there, anyone who looked at him saw the scar across his eye and proceeded to scowl at him. Alex was used to this now. It was just another day in the honorless class of the faction.

Alex finally arrived at the recruitment tent around 7:30. The man sitting behind the table didn't look up at him. He simply pulled out an enlistment forum and started asking questions. "Last name, then first name."

"Steadson, Alex"

The man wrote down the information. "Classification within the faction?" He looked up and saw the scar. "Honorless. Got it." He continued to write on the forum. A couple minuets later he looked at Alex and began to give him instructions. "Okay. In the morning you will report back here no later than 0630. You will board a carriage that will be heading off to Fort Mathus so you can begin your training as infantry. Any questions?"

"No sir."

"Good. Get out out here."

Alex returned home to spend his last day with his mother and sister. In the morning, Alex cleaned up, hugged his family one last time and headed out to where he would board the carriage. When he arrived, he and about two hundred other men boarded onto multiple carriages and headed out to Fort Mathus where they would be training for the next six months of their lives. This is where Alex's journey to restore his family's honor would begin.
