Chapter 14

Hey guys. I'm so sorry I haven't uploaded in so long. I know some people are upset with me, But I did say I wasn't going to be able to upload as much, this is a important year in school to me. I actually have an essay due tomorrow and I'm typing it. I kinda felt bad that I hadn't uploaded anything so I decided to go on wattpad didn't know my story had so many read :D lol but yeah so it might take a while till i update again so enjoy. Its short but please bear with me ( hehe see what a did there bear? lol no? never mind...

"Who are you taking again?" I asked my brother as we walked to the Snack Shop.

"Mae" He responded and began whistling.

" Uh, nice name." I giggled.

"Well she's hot." said Max.

"Anything else?" I prompted.

"Nope," he said his lips popping at the "p" he turned to look at me and seeing that I didn't understand he went on "She's just hot, don't worry its a guy thing."

"No," I said shaking my head " Your just disgusting."

"How much longer do we have to wait for her?" I groaned.

"She said she'll be here in a couple of minutes- oh look there she is!" said Max getting up to greet his date.

"Finally," I mumbled to Jace which made him laugh but as he looked behind me his smile fell and afrown entered his face and his lips formed a thin line. Wondering why he had gotten upset, I looked behind.

That's when i saw Max's date. She was everything a girl dreamed of and lusted for. Her perfectly blond hair was windswept but the perfect amount or she would have looked like she just came down from atop of a plane. Her makeup enhanced her crystal clear blue eyes. And her mouth seemed to be in a permanent but cute pout with pink small lips, which formed a smile the instant her eyes landed on Jace.

"Jace ." She said in a breathless voice.

"Mae." Jace responded with a curt nod.

"You two know each other?" asked Mae , the questions that was on my mind.

"We know each other from quite a long time," responded Jace.

"Yes, we're quite the friends," said Mae with a smirk that implied that they knew each other nore than friends and there was a secret that only she and him knew.

"Were. We were quite the friends." Jace corrected.

"Sadly." said mae with a gleam in her eyes that nothing would come out of this.

" I knew a girl named Mae once." I said " but she didn't like her name because she found out iut mean something bad like sour."

" Oh really?" said Mae her crystal blue eyes turning an icy blue and perfect lips pressed into a thin line. Obviously not pleased with my comment.

'"Yes, said story because she later changed her name to something like Molly or was it Polly?"

"We MY name doesn't mean unlikeable or sour, said Mae with a flick of her hair.

"Oh I didn;t mean to offend you." I said.

Mae just harrumphed and stomped to her seat, with Max trailing after her. i just shook my head.

"Hey wanna get out of here?" asked Jace.

I knew that he said that becuase he didn't really want to be alone with me, he just didn't want to be around mae. Disspointed i just shook my head agreeing. Together we crept outside without either Mae or Max noticing us leave.
