When we got back from killing my parents best friends and finding out I was adopted, Jerome said he had his family drama to deal with. I offered to go with him but he said he needed to do it alone. I supported him decision and stayed at Theo's building. I kissed Jerome goodbye and went to my room. Tonight's the big night, that stupid magic show, Jerome is going to impersonate a magician. But god, I hate magicians. I got to my room and opened the door, I saw a garment bag on my bed. I walked up to it and there were actually two bags. It looked like a dress bag and a smaller bag next to it. I am curious about what it is, and who it's from. I grabbed the little bag and opened it. I pulled out a black mask with rhinestones on it {top of the chapter} This must be for the magic show. Me and Barbara must me acting as Jerome's assistant. I am pretty theatrical, and when I was in school I used to audition for the school plays and I would get the lead. I opened the dress bag. There was a magicians assistant costume. This one is black with rhinestones on it and it came with tights {top of the chapter}  it is gorgeous, I have to put it on. Once I did, I looked in the mirror. "Good to see he went classy with yours" Barbara said from behind me. I turned around and saw she was in an all pink one. "Good to see he went pink with yours" I said smiling. She chuckled and walked over to me. She grabbed the mask and looked at it while walking over to me. "You know with us on the stage it will be like we are complete opposites" she said handing the mask to me. "We're not that different, you and I" I said. "Theo wants you to be there before me, it's not night yet but he wants you to be there before him and I leave" she explained. "Alright, thank you Babs, I'll see you later then" I said. She walked out of the room, and I started putting makeup on, Smokey eye and lip gloss over my already purplish lips. "We need to cover your hair" Theo said. "So people don't see my green hair, and then they'll know it's the monster known as Victoria Dane" I explained. "Exactly so I got you this" he said. I turned around and looked he had a wig in his hand. I stood up and walked over to him and it was a long black curly wig. "Thank you" I said grabbing the wig from Theo.

By the time I was ready it was time for me to go. I walked down the stairs but this time in a dark velvet green cape, and saw Theo and Barbara talking. Barbara turned around and looked at me "Ooo, someone looks hot" She said in a sing-song voice. "Indeed she does" Theo said. Theo walked over to me and gave me a set of car keys "it's the Camaro in the parking lot, and great cape" He said. I grabbed the keys from him and went to the car. I was just excited to see Jerome again, I know I sound a little clingy but I have never liked someone this much before, so I missed him all the time. I got to the building and I went through the secret entrance, I saw Jerome with the stage manager. "Thank you for filling in on such short notice. But how did you hear our magician dropped out, Mr... ?" She asked. Jerome slid next to her "Rodolfo. Well, you know, magic" He said and they both chuckled. "Oh, I won't be needing that" He said pointing at Tabitha, Tabitha smiled and closed the trunk and walked away, as did the stage manager. I walked out from behind the shadows, which is where I have always found comfort in. "Your assistant is here Mr. Rodolfo" I said. Jerome turned around and looked at me. I didn't have my mask on, so he could see my face. His eyes widened "Look at you, looks like we both had a make over" He said walking over to me. I shrugged my shoulders, "long hair is kind of growing on me" I said smirking. Jerome put his hands on my waist, I looked up into his eyes, and I genuinely smiled. "I think the beard is growing on me" He said smirking. "You're definitely unrecognizable" I said looking down chuckling. "Good evening. I'm Dr. Lee Thompkins. For the past five years, I've had the honor of being part of the Children's Hospital. Thank you for your support" That's the woman that Barbara mentioned. Barbara showed up behind me. "It's show time" Jerome said. Barbara and I came out on stage but in the shadows next to a box where Jerome would come out of. "And thank you so much for coming out tonight. Over the years, we've had magicians come and entertain our children. And so tonight, we have one of the magicians here for you. Without further ado, please allow me to present to you the Great Rodolfo" Lee said.

Then the spot light was on Barbara and I, Barbara and I put our arms out and smiled, while everyone clapped. We opened the box and realized that he wasn't in there, I put my hand over my mouth in surprise. We closed the doors. Barbara put her hand up to her cheek like she was thinking. I brought my arms out in confusion. Then Barbara opened the doors again and he was there yawning. Barbara and I smiled, while everyone laughed and clapped. Jerome walked out of the box and put his hands up. Jerome walked to the stage and Barbara and I followed, acting like little girls that would gossip in elementary school. "Greetings, ladies and germs! I am indeed the Great Rodolfo" Jerome said, Barbara and I bowed and the same time he did. "Please ogle my two lovely assistant. Ooh!" Jerome said. Barbara put her arm around me and I grabbed her waist as we blew a kiss to the audience.

Jerome pulled out a red cloth, and then revealed two roses, one red and one black. He handed the red one to Barbara and the black one to me and we both smiled at him. Then the cloth and dove trick. I saw that our men started the close the doors. "For my first act, I'll require a volunteer. Let me see. Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck... goose!" Jerome said and it landed on Bruce Wayne. "Go get him" Jerome whispered in my ear. I strutted off the stage to retrieve him. When I reached him I held out my hand. "Don't keep the lady waiting" The man next to him said. "Fine" He said grabbing my hand. I led him to the stage "Don't worry sweet heart, you'll be fine" I said, he looked at me and smiled. "Hello, young man" Jerome said. Bruce started to take off him shoes, I grabbed his hand and helped him into the box. Barbara and Jerome prepared the trick. "Does this handsome gentleman have a name?" Jerome asked. "Bruce" He said. "Bruce! Well, Bruce, this won't hurt a bit. Is there a doctor in the house?" Jerome said causing the audience to laugh. Jerome prepared the blades. "Just wait! Wait! Wait one second" His butler I'm assuming said. Jerome pushed the blades down. Then I pulled the bottom half of Bruce away from his top half. "Give 'em a wave" Jerome said, and Bruce obeyed with a smile on his face, which calmed the butler down. I put the other half of Bruce back to him and Jerome and I opened the box, Bruce waved and I helped him out of the box again. But this time Barbara brought him back to his original spot. "Some people say Bruce has a split personality" Jerome said, and I mimicked laughter.

"For my next illusion, I'd like to call to the stage esteemed Deputy Mayor Harrison Kane" Jerome said. Barbara retrieved him and brought him to the stage. Barbara wheeled the table of knives over to Jerome and after she pulled the cloth off she bowed and her mask fell off. Dr. Thompkins then pulled out her phone and started to call somebody. Then one of our guys chloroformed her. Jerome picked up and knife. "By the way, nobody here... is getting out alive" Jerome said causing the audience to laugh. "Really?" Some woman said in the crowd. Jerome threw the knife and it landed in the chest of Harrison Kane. He dropped to the floor and everyone started to panic. All of our guys started to shoot everywhere. Jerome, Barbara and I started to laugh. We warned everyone.
